This isn't totally correct because Roach's problem from the start was the cut-off point. And quite clearly this is still a problem so I don't see what has changed!

This is the slightest bit of hope that has surfaced so far since the break down!

I can bandage up the wrists and put the rope away for now!

It doesn't look like they've backed down. They still want worthwhile testing to see if he is on PEDs. As from the start it seems Pac is dictating everything. I'm not sure what Floyds dictated other than wanting strict testing. They even agreed to a 10mil fine if overweight!

You right about him having enough to sue Jnr, but he has plenty to sue his asshole of a dad, and when he wins it will have to be Jnr who pays cause Snr dont have the money to pay, so its pay up or daddy gets his arse hammered in jail:D Thus shit is priceless. I hope Manny doesnt drop his case against Mouth Mayweather snr

You can't make Jnr pay for what came out of his dad's mouth.

Also, you can't go to jail for slander.

Also, who the fuck wants to see Mayweather skint? He's provided a ten fucking year exhibition of mad boxing skills.

He can sue Mayweather Promotions, since Floyd and Floyd Sr are agents of the company though.

I doubt anyone is going to be suing anyone...Pac and Roach wouldn't want Ariza and Graham questioned too closely in open court and on oath.

Lads I did not give much credence to Pacman being on drugs etc. However they way they have reacted to the random tests/blood tests issues makes it look highly suspicious. I hope the fight still happens.

What should be one of the most exciting moments in the next decade of boxing is fast becoming one of the biggest "Couldn't give a fuck" fights in a LONG time.

I don't give a shit what anyone is saying. Pac is single handidly making this fight fall through. Floyd has compromised on a cut off date yet they are still stalling. They got everything they want - 50/50, gloves, glove size, fight date, weight etc

GazOC

I don't think Mayweather "conceding" weight (it was always a welterweight fight), date (irrelevent) or 50/50 (its a 50/50 fight) means bugger all TBH.

yeah its a WW fight by all accounts , this is floyds weight, 8oz gloves is normal too.

Having a lot of extra doping tests is not normal however, these crackheads just cant figuere how a guy can go up in weight and KO other guys and entertain the fans they think thats not right, like "why aint he running n shit"

The weight is demonstrable, the gloves are demonstrable...Pacs drug use status isn't...Floyd Sr is only saying what a lot of people are thinking. It would be nice for Pac to stop all this "i'm shit scared of needles" bollocks and prove all the doubters wrong

But lets not kid ourselves (or try to kid others) that they are concessions that Mayweather is making. The weight, the date, the money split etc are all pretty basic and straightforward points, whereas wanting to Pac to undergo a drug testing regime that no other boxer in history has undergone is an exceptional demand.

The first set of points can in no way be "weighed off" against the second point.

Floyd would have had an advantage at 154. Pacs punches become slower and weaker with 10oz, Floyds fought with 10oz before. Floyds conceeded a split when no way does Pac deserve it. Fights not finalised and March 13th is real close. Floyd missed his last weight, plus him wanting at 154 might suggest the weight has got to him during his layoff YET he has sacrificed 10mil.

These are typical negotiations and Floyds given it all up to Pac. Strict drug testing is not an advantage AT ALL. It's what should be standard but because Floyds setting the precedent people have their panties in a twist.

Pac is fucking this up. Even if you look at Floyd conceeding due to ego it is impressive. I never thought Floyd would conceed due to ego alone but he has.

It does raise question when other P4P guys got caught at higher weights - RJJ, Mosley and Toney.

I'd bet my life Mayweather has no genuine problem whatsoever making 147 in good shape, both fighters are welterweights these days and thats where the fight should happen.

If drug testing should be standard then fair enough but it shouldn't be brought in on Mayweathers say so.

Ego or no ego, I'm far from "impressed" at what Mayweather has conceded, most of it is either merely fair (the money), common sense (the weight) or no big deal (the date).

I hope Pac takes the tests and we get to see the fight but where were all the concerned fans of boxing on this issue BEFORE Mayweather started making his drug testing demands?

I don't remember many "Rigorous Drug testing should be introduced into Boxing" type threads on ESB but now, all of a sudden, its this vitally important issue with people who didn't seem to give much of a fuck about it a month ago. Seems to me a lot of it is the old ESB problem of people choosing their stance on an issue based on which boxer they prefer rather than anything else.
