My hand goes out to Kelly Pavlik tonight. I was for Taylor but clearly Pavlik showed that he wanted it. Both men wanted to win but I guess Pavlik wanted it more. For 6 rounds Taylor was giving Pavlik fits until that 7th round KO by Pavlik. For that I salute you Kelly Pavlik for showing heart and determination. I sure hope there is a rematch between these 2 fighters and hopefully Taylor will win the next time around.

And to Taylor, no matter what, props to you as well. Props to you for getting out there and fighting. Hopefully you win a few fights then go after Pavlik and hope that you win against him next time.

Definitely. Full respect for what happened in the ring tonight. Both guys showed they wanted it, both went out, and it was Pavlik that took it in the end. Well done.

Pavlik showed that he is the real deal when it comes to heart and power. He also managed to push forward with a solid jab – even though I had Taylor ahead by 2 points at the end round 6.

Extreme toughness, stamina, heart and power combined with decent (but not great) boxing skills can be lethal. Taylor presented himself well in the fight – but it was simply just the accumulation effect that got him in the end. Their styles matched up perfect, but I don’t think Taylor could win a rematch. Mentally Pavlik must have a huge edge if they are to fight again.

Next big task for Pavlik could very well be Mikkel Kessler. Pavlik has the size being able moving up to 168. But everyone from 168 and down would have to be concerned with Pavlik’s power. :bbb

DUDE......

I thought he was a gonner in that 2nd round. I found myself applauding when he made it through the round...

Only a handful of fighters (In history) could do what he did.

Mad props.

RESPECT to both fighters. Pavlik is one tough kid - fits right in the mold of a Youngstown champion. Respect to Taylor - even in defeat, he showed his heart. His toughness and heart came out tonight.

Great fight
