Anthony Mundine's quest to become a 4 time World champion in 3 weight divisions took a setback yesterday when Mundine opened a gift box left at his front door in Sydney.

The package marked "best wishes choc" was packed full of sports drinks, chocolates and candy.

Mundine, who only yesterday, was still 5 kgs outside of the 154 limit declined to comment on his weight loss or if in fact he decided to try a selection of the tasty morsels that had been gifted to him.

With the title fight against Australian Rob Medley 27 (17) -2 only 12 days away, industry experts were doubtful that Mundine could make weight.

If he makes it he is going to be weak as fuck. It baffles me as to why professional athletes choose to treat their bodies so badly, as an athlete you'd think your body would be the number one thing you'd treat well, cutting weight like that is not healthy. I hope he gets knocked out for being so stupid, his ego tells him he can do whatever he wants to his body and get away with it, instead of challenging top fighters he wants to play stupid games with himself, fuck the silly prick.

An empty box was discarded for the doorstep of Anthony Mundines lavish Sydney residence late Wednesday afternoon. Reports claim to have sighted a hand written note entailing a brief "Thank you for the generousity".

FMH has since released a statement from Anthony Mundine.

"Yeah Man, yeah its 2 weeks from history in the making. Losing the weight will shock the world again. Im there brother, Im almost there. I whipped Green and Geale when my weight was hurting me. Who talks about that? Its faith man, god knows I can do it. Im almost there. No one goes down in weight thats why Im the Pioneer. Man, its same as walking in the park for me, one step at a time".

The confident Anthony Mundine momentarily ceased with rants as he looked to mentor Tony Mundine Snr and quipped, "Challenge, we'd need to break Lightweight, this aint no challenge"

Subdued as always, the humble response coming from Mundine Snr indicated little interest in another challenge.

"Next year" Mundine Snr elegantly replied with smiles and loving high five.

I think Medley catches Choc with a right uppercut and its
lights out, Ive thought this for a while now.

Medley hasnt been known as a big puncher for a while now,
but early days suggests that he has the power there and I
believe if can get Choc in close, he catches him with that shot.

Time will tell.
