Good looking undercard,

Glen Johnson Vs Yusaf Mack
Ponce De Leon Vs Yordan

Two good looking fights that could be wars, topped off with Berto Vs Mosley :happy

Only bad thing is Vivan Harris is back against a big puncher and i didn't like the look of him after his last fight.

Should be a good night :D

They are okay. Boxing have weak undercards. Cards need to be stacked. Johnson, De Leon and Harris on the undercard of a top main event is quite good though.

Loving the look of this card. Great way to start the New Year.

Well done Sky Sports for picking it up!

Is Ponce-Yordan official then?

The guy Harris is facing could be one to watch out for - undeafeted Argie with a high KO ratio. We could have another Maidana on our hands!

Ponce Vs Yordan looks nailed on i haven't seen much of Yordan i think,

Mack & Johnson sounds like a war to me.

Only seen two rounds worth of Yordan (against Guerrero). Looked decent.

Yordan will beat Ponce De Leon imo.

Looks a pretty good card.

That card is as good as it gets these days. Can't wait, its going to be a long couple of weeks.....

HBO are only showing 1 fight as far as I'm aware but I think Sky will show the undercard. They usually do.

Yordan!

Time to take the light. I think he UDs De Leon or even knocks him out. I dont underrated De Leon either.

I wouldn't like to be Vivian Harris going into that fight. That Argie has a lot of clean KO's, including one over a guy Anthony Peterson took 9 rounds to TKO, he KO'd him in 2 rounds.

I think he'll get starched..

Wasn't Harris nearly stopped on a few occasions in his last fight?

Great undercard there are four fights that are significant in their respective divisons I cannot believe that HBO are not showing any of the fights, the only thing that is a disapointment is that the Yordan-De Leon fight is for yet another WBA interim title :fire they already have 2 champs at Featherweight why are they giving out another title and why are big time promoters like Golden Boy giving them sanctioning fees for this bs.

Lucas is Walter's younger brother and has some ties to Golden Boy Promotions. I've seen him a handful of times on Spanish Networks, and he's more technically sound than his brother and packs a similar punch.

Wasn't Harris nearly stopped on a few occasions in his last fight?

Yeah, two fights ago he was nearly stopped in one round by a journeyman and in his last fight he was carried out on a stretcher after a clash of heads.

Cheers for the info. I'm going to this, so it will be nice to see Johnson also.

Yordan is out according to the scene.

No doubt his replacement won't be as good. 126lbers that could step in to fight Ponce? Or indeed fighters you think should replace Yordan.

Yeah sky'll be on air at 2am, and HBO start an hour later, so presumably we'll have an extra live fight the yanks won't get.

Yordan pulled out because he weren't getting enough?

Clown.

He could've won and would've won IMO and got a lot of recognition.

What about Piriyapinyo? Probs a bit green but its about time he stepped up as he certainly is a talented but isn't going to progress defending his 'WBC Asian boxing council' belt another 20 times against bums in Thailand.

Maybe IBO title holder Jackson Asiku could come in, I reckon he'd jump at the chance.

Cornelius Lock is coming off a good win aswell. Would probably look like Escalente-Lock though if he fought De Leon.

 All this talk about Yordan had me pumped for that fight, Shouldn't be too hard to get a fighter in with this many days left. Also De Leon looks an easy target these days seems to have lost that power he used to be crushing guys with.

I find it crazy that an Indonesian kid that has only ever had one decent pay day in his career would reject this fight.
He would be a getting ok money but the recognition and future opportunities that could have with it would be huge, I hate fighters that are narrow minded. A win could have seen him get big pay days on HBO and even if he did lose it wouldn't be the end of the world he would at least have a name in America.

Isn't Lara on the same card?

Peculiarly I seem to remember so.
