Pavlik won.

Though a few will disagree with me, I am pretty sure I'm correct.

Yeah, but he only won because he knocked Taylor unconscious.

Pavlik lost, he lost the personality contest because he is a geek.

Pavlik is just lucky he wasn't in there with Bergeron

He's lucky that "10 count knockout" rule exists. If it wasn't for that technicality, Taylor would have had him right where he wanted him.

After beating Spinks, Taylor was past his prime. I know it.

Yeah, but he only won because he threw some punches

Isn't that illegal?

Isn't that illegal?

haha, so yeah, taylor lost. BUT it was a hell of a fight. i hope this turns into another holyfield and that in defeat, taylor finally gets some respect. taylor is 1)overhyped 2)extremely talented 3)after last night, OBVIOUSLY a great figher. it's just that pavlik was better (and hits like a fucking mother)

Only if they land. Flurries of wide punches can be used to disorient or intimidate an opponent. Landing flush, though, is problematic. Taylor wins by dq.

Pavlik won because the ref decided to count knockdowns after round 5, which is not normally allowed, otherwise Taylor would have won on the basis of his trunks.

I always felt sorry for accident-prone fighters like Tyson and Tua who could never seem to avoid their opponent's chin with their flurries. You'd think it would be easy since it's such a small target, but it must be deceptively difficult.

Back then, Bergeron wasn't around to show them how.
