Would JRE (Jack Rennie Enterprises) interest you. Used in rings around Oz for 20+ years. Ya paying for quality, not for the name.
And yes, they are made locally....
Thailand.

YVB has some very nice gloves that are apparantly only 55 cents wholesale. Him being a very shy man I'm sure he wouldn't put too much of a mark up on them.

Ditto.
They offer anything from gloves to bags to complete rings, plus repairs etc - ask for Peter.

flamengocraphead and partners, you guys are like the plague, never had a glove on and you know so much, obviously living a boxing career on a forum.
You wouldn't know which part of the glove hits your jaw, I am only too pleased to show you if you like.
By the way I had stopped being shy after 22 y/o so you are talking crap as usual.

Yesterday My mood was a bit off-skew so I was a bit rougher than I like to be on famengo, just the heat of the day.
I take a little back out of that.
The gloves have so far proven to be very good in most areas with the exception of the laces having been about30 centimeters too short, still usable but out of wack with our stanadards.
I have had 450 new laces in the right size sent to me to replace them with.
Jacks gloves are made overseas and I will not tell you where in case you make a big deal of it, as he is a friend of mine.
Besides I hope you guys know that half my glove range are fight gloves and 90% of them go to the local promoters free of charge.

Be gentle with me Victor.
Whilst in the process, be sure to tell the readers where your gloves are made. We're all aware that Jacks gloves are made in Thailand.. is that a big deal??
JRE Gloves have served very well for many years, regardless of where they're made. Quality has never been questioned, much like Thai women, bars, beaches and more Thai women. :D

Oh well, as long as your not dropping your mate in it by telling everyone they're made overseas then its all good.

Had trouble tracking down Cleto Reyes gloves when I bought a pair some time back. So I'll pass on the info and save you the grief:
The Australian distributor for Cleto Reyes is Ray Fleming, a very helpful guy who I believe has been in the game for many many years.
The website is [Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links]). and Ray’s e-mail [Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links])

In the politically correct times we live in that could probably be construed as racist Leon (Reyes gloves are crap anyway - that's why they wear them in most world title bouts).
On the subject of ESB's 'keyboard warriors' not having a worthwhile opinion on gloves:
There's probably not a pro racing driver amongst us here. But we've all got cars, some of us have had many, and that entitles us to opinions on them.
Likewise, many of us here have either trained or competed at some level or other, and worn gloves often enough to offer an opinion to someone seeking one.
Someone selling gloves on the other hand could well struggle to be objective due to a conflict of interest.

I remember the gloves they gave me.
They weighed over a pound & laced up just below the elbow.
Brilliant in defense, but you couldn't see anything.
I felt like a sniper. Every time I part them for a squizz, so did he, & we both ducked.
We just had to keep doing that until the bloke with the tiredest arms dropped them, trouble was though, by that time, there wasn't enough power in the punch to push a paralytic drunk off balance.
Hope YV's are better. :huh

That advertisment in Ray Wheatley's World of Boxing magazine was placed there by Ray Wheatley. I have told him to change it numerous times and also told him I was never a champion but he wants to leave it.
I advertise his mag and he gets good response from the advert on YVB.
By the way it is all with no charge. Ray is a very good friend of mine
