I get this feeling, looking at his physique compared with his counterparts. That and, from what I've heard, his trainer is not one of the top-of-the-line guys.
What are Pavlik's training methods?

It's currently on YouTube (of course) if anyone wants to see it.
Pavlik pulls cars across a track and hits a Tractor Tire with a sledgehammer.
His training is actually similar to Duddy's, but there's no comparison between the two apart from that.

pavlik makes a lot of mistakes. imagine how wicked hed be with a top trainer for skill. hes strong as hell though just imagine how hed be with a plan b and c. hes body looks old skool but i think thats not the reason for his power. it is natural gifts. i think he is so strong because he trains on his strength most importantly.

Maybe with a different trainer he could be the Undefeated, Undisputed Middleweight Champion of the World.you no what im saying. look how he was when taylor whacked him. standing upright not bracing himself legs straight arms down. he nearly lost. with better trainer he could have dominated taylor.

Which trainer would help him best?
I think Alcazar could help. He'd help him with his left hook.

he or a load other might do it. pavlik has is straigh forward fighter. not tricky. has 2 punches jab and right. they work good. but that isnt a reason not to hook. it would hurt to add bits to his varety.

I'm not sure Pavlik does any better with a different trainer. He has a special kind of bond and trust with his current trainer. Once he loses, he might be able to let go of that, but as long as he keeps winning, it's probably more important that he trains under someone who understands what really makes him tick.
