.............and finally exposes Germain 'Sven Ottke' Taylor for the overrated fraud that he has always been.:happy Ever since he narrowly defeated another horrendously overrated fighter,Hopkins;Taylor has been stinking out the joint with inept performances against blown up Light Middles. For the first time in his last five fights he finally has the bottle to face a decent fighter and gets exposed as I have long predicted he would. No wonder Taylor didn't have the bottle to fight Calzaghe, and the same goes for Hopkins too!!
Pavlik is a breath of fresh air in the Middleweight division and finally the title gets a champion worthy of it's prestigious merit.

Taylor dropped Kelly early in rd 2, so that must say siomething about his punches. I thought he took the loss well...The rematch will be interesting

Right on the money about Taylor - however, you're wrong about Hopkins, who is a clear ATG, and should have gotten the nods against Taylor.
If it wasn't for Taylor's HBO connections - and Hopkins unpopularity with the boxing establishment - Taylor would never have gotten those decisions.
For Taylor, HBO was the GIFT that kept on giving. Hell, if Pavlik hadn't taken matters into his own hands - they woulda jobbed HIM, too! :patsch

DID U SEE THE FIGHT? the only reason why pavlik got dropped is cause pavlik asked for it, like a dumbass he droped his hands and stuck out his chin on purpose, and BAM!!! got nailed...otherwise he would have never tasted the canvas...

This post is garbage.
A word I have regularly used to describe the abilities of Taylor even when only myself and Amsterdam were the only disenting voices!! The first decent Middle he fights under the age of 40 and look what happens!!

Probably would as well!! There's a strong case that could be made to say Taylor LOST his previous FIVE fights!!

A-HEM!! There were others of us who were out front early on what a fraud Taylor was, from the minute HBO stole Hopkins' title! :nod

If anyone doesn't think Hopkins is horrendously overrated, I recall a recent thread entitled 'Who wins? Prime Hagler v Prime Hopkins'!!!!!!!!!! Not only that, but Hopkins headed the poll with about 60%!!!! From that moment on I knew the boxing knowledge of so many posters was 'seriously questionable'

That someone who is garbage beat 4 champs (arguably 5) prior to Pavlik.
Stop saying he is a fraud and say WHY! Then you give me the opportunity to make you look stupid.
You are being disrespectful and for no reason.
Taylor has flaws but so does every boxer. Taylor is a guy who will fight the best.

I will always respect Taylor for taking on anyone willing to fight him. I may have wanted Pavlik to win, but for what it's worth, I thought JT put on an entertaining performance and rthey both gave us one hell of a fight.

Fraud-5 decisions which could have easily gone the other way. 3 against blown up light punching Light Middles and 2 against an over 40 year old.
Absolutely appalling footwork which I've outlined before.
The ducking of Calzaghe for a perceived easier fight against Pavlik

THe problem is is that, at least in the case of Hopkins and Wright, he DIDN'T beat them, but rather received extremely questionable gift decisions. THAT is why he is a fraud - because his entire reign as "champion" was tainted from DAY ONE when HBO got him that first gift decision.:yep

Your dumb....sorry, sad but true.
Taylor is a fraud. Pavlik is great....yet Pavlik's best win is vs Taylor, who by your account is a fraud? Doesnt that make Pavlik unproven then...seeing as how his biggest win is vs a fraud?
Again...you and the rest of you saying this shit are dumb. No way to sugar coat it sorry....

You misunderstand my friend. I'm not saying Kelly Pavlik is the second coming of Ray Leonard, simply the FIRST live challenger Taylor has faced and I predicted ANY live challenger would end his dubious reign. I'm not saying Pavlik is great, merely that he has done us a favour

Taylor fought the fight people wanted him to fight not his own and thats why he lost imo. I believe if Pavlik fought a great boxer puncher like Hopkins he would be beat to the punch everytime and Hopkins would make Pavlik look like a ametuer in the ring, Pavliks punches are to slow to be effective against a guy like Hopkins and Pavlik would be countered all night. I like Pavlik but he lacks alot of skills in the ring and extremely slow hands, his heart and power won him that fight and I see him losing against guys like Hopkins, Wright, and Calzaghe.
