I have the original program of Tysons debut up in Albany. I forget who else was fighting on the card besides Rooney. Its a paper two page folder program.
Maybe Ill dig it out and post some pictures.

This is a fantastic website for newspaper articles on Tyson as his career progressed. It's fascinating to see how the press wrote about him "in the moment":

I find the article written in '91 about the Ruddock fight especially interesting. It goes into length about how Tyson's skills had eroded, and how it was noticeable in the '89 Bruno fight. Proof that it was obvious and written about even back then in the heat of Tyson hysteria. But if you bring it up in an argument here, you are labeled a "revisionist historian". The article proves otherwise.

Make sure you set aside a good couple of hours! When I first found the site, it was already late at night, but I got hopelessly hooked and read every single year until the wee hours of the morning.:nut
