All the Pavlik hype is fucking funny. He beat a REAL shitty fighter in Miranda and although I give him big props for stopping Taylor after getting owned in the 2nd and being well down on the scorecards, Calzaghe would rape him.

Pavlik struggled with Taylor's handspeed, nobody can deny this, Calzaghe's hands are much faster than Jermaine's, added to which he can finish his man when he has him in trouble.

This would be a complete mismatch.

With 32 fights Pavlik isn't exactly going to develope a whole lot anymore.

He is the finished product, though of course he could always make some adjustments.

Pavlik is not nearly good enough to deal with skilled boxers such as Dawson, Calzaghe, or even tiny Erdei. Though the man will always have a big puncher's chance.
