Scott, who has Lou Gehrig's disease has been given three plus months to live by his doctors. Scott is still working two jobs, as the Minnesota boxing commisioner and also an official in the county he lives in, though he is wheel chair bound now and is tiring more every day. Scott says he's still fighting, just as he did with Foreman, Norton, Spinks, Page, and Ali. I want to tell Scotty the East side gang is praying for him, let me know ok guys. Tim

Sorry to hear that ,he was an honest fighter and allways gave his best.
I liked his interviews too, when Butterbean said, " how come your nose is allover your face, and mine isnt" he said something like , " because I fought x amount of world champs and contenders ,and you fought tomato cans ".
I remember when he kicked Howard Cosell's wig off in protest at being robbed against Johnny Boudreaux, in the Don King rigged US Championships, Cosell picked it up and put it on back to front:lol:

Ledoux was a scrapper who honoured his calling, please give him the esteem of this forum .

This is Coetzee but I remember Ledoux vs Norton...Scott dropped Norton 2 times in the last rd and came short of the KO but he got a draw with Ken in a good fight...He always gave his all and fought everyone

Lou Gehrig disease, its a rough one.

Isnt that what Stephen Hawkins has? Hopefully he can beat the doctors diagnosis the same way Hawkins managed. You have to question if its a brain injury from boxing

Are you a personal friend Timmers?

Power, I wish I was a personal friend, I grew up in the Golden Gloves with Scott and knew him as an aquaintance in Minneapolis. He was a little older with a really tough apperance and that rough New York like accent, but was just a great guy. I couldn't tell you how many times I would see him helping out beginners or encouraging a fighter who had just lost. We all have allot of respect for Scott here in Minnesota.

Scott Ladoux may the good lord give you all the strength sir! I recall Hercules Weaver in his prime trying to brawl with you for a couppla rounds and found the going a bit too tough, switched over to stick and move cause he had to, you made him quit!!

God give you strength sir, you fans remember you very well!!

I not only enjoyed him as a fighter, but as a tough ref in TV wrestling in the AWA days.

God bless you, man.

Sorry to hear this. Nice guy. I met him in Minnesota just this year. He gave me a signed photo of himself. He dropped Norton a couple times in their fight. I'd like to see that one.

Sorry to hear this news about Scott LeDoux; only recently have I returned to following boxing news after a long hiatus, and Scottie was a big part of the talent-laden heavyweight scene in the golden days of the 1970s; he gave a lively inerview as well as fought a lively fight; I still remember a Ring magazine profile in which he threatened to outtalk Ali with his "motor mouth" if ever they met up. The current heavyweight boxing scene could do with lively and colorful characters like LeDoux. All best wishes to him.
