Most people have opinions, I dont want them , I want accurate reasons as to why people though someone one...

To me , it was the shock of Geale actually being competetive which lead people to give him rounds.. I had Mundine 8-4 , wont argue with 7-5 ... Even if you had it 6-6 , The knockdown made the difference....

7-5 Geale.

One 10-8 round to Mandy.

Geale Wins 114-113

And how it a shock that Geale was competitive? Anyone who has watched Geale knew he could stick with Mundine...

mundine won and did himself no favours. just like will happen for the rest of his career.

mundine will never have a real legacy...beside that of being a good footballer and a decent, talented boxer that underachieved but was scared of risk. he has underachieved because he got;

*bad advice,
*bad training,
*no tactics,
*a focus on money that is unsustainable as he fights cabbies,
*a fear of fighting at his real weight (because he loses to peak world class fighters at his real weight),
*a fear of taking a risk because of a fear of losing and therefore;
*losing his earning ability.

115-112 geale. But there were lots of close rounds and i have no problem with mundine getting the decision.

I no longer have my round by round card but I had Geale by a point. I won't argue the result either way as if its thats close its open to interpretation.

i despise mundine but i had him winning by only one rnd. so i could see how plenty would think geale may have done enough too, as there was very little between them.

i think the rematch could make much much more cash if they market it right.

it would be exactly like a smaller version of green vs mundine contest.

all u would have to do is put geale on all the footy shows, and whatever other shows that interview guests and cry poor that the dirty little mundine stole geales title and geale will smack the crap out of mundine and teach him a lesson on behalf of all australians. the public would buy it big time.

I had Geale winning by 2 points, then after rewatching the fight with Ash, I still had him up by 1 point which Ash also agreed, then changed his mind when he left my company ha ha. The simple fact that mandy wouldn't honour the rematch with Geale indicates he truly knows he lost to Geale & probably would so again. Right Ash.

I thought Mundine won a close fight. He did the cleaner work throughout.

What fight showed he could "beat" Mundine? Daniel Dawson? , c'mon now.... I didnt think he'd be as competetive as he was, even though I thought highly of him... What I saw was alot ineffective work by Geale. I'll admit he threw more , but you got to be doing something other than throwing... I only watched it once , I'll watch it again but I could in no way see how anyone had geale up 8-4 (115-112) , to me thats insane and clearly someone looking to give him every benefit of the doubt... Im no ash or luds by the way , I wanted Geale to win.. I also can no longer support someone who says one thing and does another... After monday night (and only cos I thought he'd weigh in at 54) I wont waste anymore money or bandwidth on him unless its a genuine fight (no , Kariz or Garth is not genuine)

Geale by two rounds.

Connecting with 4 or 5 solid shots per round dont win world titles..

Hmmm
01-08-2010, 05:32 AM
I ended up with a draw to be honest....

Might have to dig it out and watch it again. But I think I'll still get the same result... Maybe now that Mundine has made a fool of himself and lost everyones respect I might even show some bias in Geales favour :P

correction, geale connected with twice the amount of punches, but all mainly hit mundine on gloves and arms and shoulders, not really scoring punches, and like paul upham said whilst commentating.....Every punch geale throws mundine gives a reciept for.

You referring to the same Paul Upham that along with Barry Michael are founding fathers of the heavily diluded cult known to us regular folk as the ANTHON MUNDINE FAN CLUB??

If you want to make Valid points i would start with NEVER bringing up either of the 2 blokes mentioned above.

Its all a non issue now as Mundine got the decision became a 3TIME I SAID 3 TIME CARDBOARD CUT OUT CHAMP and is moving onto bigger fish..

i had mundine winning by about 3 points. It could have been more though because some rounds where so close. Mundine definatly won the fight in my opinion. I have watched the fight 3 or 4 times and get the same decision everytime i score it.

I hate Mundine but I don't score like a lot of Bias fans out there and yes I had Mundine winning but just. If he did not score the Knockdown I had it a draw but with the Knockdown it gave him the win.

Got alot of time for Geale, he beat one of my good mates up pretty badly last year (on very short notice on my mate's part I might add) but was nothing but gracious, and showed some good skills.

Watching him that night I'd have picked him over Mundine, but I haven't saw the actual fight, I'll check it out. Seems a good lad though, hope he bounces back.

I had it 6rds a piece. Geale had an 8pt rd with the knockdown so Mandy won by a point on my scorecard.

Had no problems with it being a draw, geale wine or Mundine win......... very close fight but Mundine on reflection did land the cleaner punches.
