in your opinion which fight took the most from the fighters involved?
i think corrales/castillo 1 because both these warriors were never the same again,it was chico's last win&castillo with the exception of his rematch with corrales never looked devasting again(to date).what do you think?

You can't really count lewis as he was as good as retired before that fight he only took it for one last pay day and another name on the resume.

Thrilla in Manilla. Frazier and Ali were not peak fighters going in, and they certainly didn't leave in the best of condition.
I'm sure the Bowe-Holyfield trilogy took its toll on both fighters.

Net, it's probably Ali-Frazier III.
But Frazier gave up a serious chunk in their first fight, too.

benn-mclellan is an obvious one. of course we all know the pain the g-man suffered, as well as it destroying benn as a fighter and pushing him to the brink of suicide.

Paret-Griffith III comes to mind, of course.

indeed, destroyed griffith inside, also not helped by the way he was treated by the public after this fight.
