Ok--I do remember manny saying:
That Jack loew was out of his league.
He said that jack loew doesnt have the crudentials to even breathe a fighter into the same ring as His.
He said that taylor was so conditioned that all time great fighters wouldnt want to fight him.
He said that he doesnt expect one good round from pavlik.
He guaranteed that taylor was gonna knock him out.
Ok--before ESB members start yelling--I know thats what trainers do and they need to stick up for their fighter and blah blah blah--but never once did jack loew or pavlik for that matter go on and just bash taylor and manny. Loew was totally disrespected by manny who in my eyes has trained a wealth of great fighters but im just glad someone knocked him down off his high ass horse. He doesnt look as good now does he? Going to the poconos--being secluded---he did nothing but train and his fighter still lost. Hope this makes you a little humble Manny.

Loewe did in fact bash Taylor. He said that Taylor is a flawed fighter.
On another note, I think that this fight showed that it's time for Pavlik to get a new trainer. Pavlik needs to improve on footwork and defense, and I think he actually had better defense early on in the pros. His trainer has shown the ability to give Pavlik a good gameplan/support and keep him in peak physical condition, but if Pavlik doesn't get someone who will improve his footwork and defense, his title reign may not last too long. It's not like has to fire the sidewalk guy...

On another note, I think that this fight showed that it's time for Pavlik to get a new trainer. Pavlik needs to improve on footwork and defense, and I think he actually had better defense early on in the pros. His trainer has shown the ability to give Pavlik a good gameplan/support and keep him in peak physical condition, but if Pavlik doesn't get someone who will improve his footwork and defense, his title reign may not last too long. if it aint broke dont fix it...too many times fighters go and train with "superman trainers" roach, emanuel, mcgrit to mention few, and they dont do so well...pavlik is confident in hit trainer and his surrounding the last thing he should do is change things...ppl are saying that he should get a new trainer cause he got knocked down, but that wasn't his trainer's fault, that was his own fucking dumbass mistake, u stick ur chin out like that on purpose and ur bout to get dropped...if he kept his hands up taylor would have never dropped him...

that dont mean shit...HBO blew some sunshine up steward's ass and everyone thinks he's the greatest trainer on the face of the earth...Steward is good but he's not the greatest, he's been around for a long time and trained some great fighters but I guarantee if u were to look at all the fighters he ever trained his win loss record would not be that impressive...so stfu...hey I got some $$$ if u want I can probably take u over to motel 8 and pay for few hrs w/ Steward...jk...

All I'm saying is that Pavlik hasn't improved in the defense and footwork departments. I actually think he has regressed:

Is this Pavlik's fault or his trainer's fault? If it is his trainer's fault, he needs to get a new one to get to the next level. If it is not his fault, or if I am wrong about him not improving in these areas, then Loew is a fantastic trainer.
Edit:
It's possible I'm not getting the whole picture here. Lennox was impressed by Pavlik's defense. Perhaps it is better than ESB thinks it is.

Pavlik is so loyal to Loew that every time he talks about anything he says: We, our, etc., etc.....He VERY rarely says I. I have always been very impressed by that and it shows he has mad respect for everyone around him and would never only think of himself (he would never leave them behind).

Lennox was impressed by Pavlik's defense. Perhaps it is better than ESB thinks it is.
His defense is okay. He picks off a lot of punches, but he also needs a lot of work. He shouldn't get rid of Jack Loew though - no way.

Umm--well--the next level is what? I mean hes the Middleweight CHampion of the World and He just knocked out the Champ to get it. I understand he may and does need some better footwork but his footwork he has got him the Champion belt so it cant be that bad.

To many, this may be a sarcastic remark, since it has a certain kind of irony when one looks at what happened to Taylor.
But, if this happened, I see Pavlik stepping up to the next level like Wlad. Pavlik is tailor made for Manny, and unlike Taylor, he listens to his trainer very well.
