I would include NASCAR but it would be an insult to real athletes to call that a sport.

Boxing needs to be treated seriously as a cultural practice. That means it needs to be reported upon and discussed seriouslly and frequently, not simply when Tyson fucks up somehow or DLH plans some mega-dud fight. Basically boxing needs a raised consciousness amongst common people as a great sport.

I can't tell you how much it pisses me off to see a hack sport like golf reported on daily in the papers and only random misdemeanours being reported for boxing. FUCK GOLF! I have such a passionate hate for that elitist, pathetic 'sport'. And as George Carlin would say: and Fuck Tiger Woods!

In fixing boxing the status quo is to blame the stereotypical greedy, bloodsucking promoters which definitely holds true. But Manny Pac and Floyd are exhibiting some rather 'divaish' behavior in their protracted negotiations. I'm sure many purists would like to boycott their subsequent fights until they fight eachother. Could you imagine if thirty-years ago Roberto Duran and Sugar Ray Leonard had been such egomaniacs and prevented their fight from taking place?!!! No, they really loved the sport in it's purest form. Boxing, as everything else in modern society, is all about the bottom line and clashing egos. What a pity huh?

How would I fix boxing?

Less weight classes, same day weigh-ins and 15 round fights for starters. I would try to foster an atmosphere where fighters aren't punished too harshly for losing a fight, rather they get rewarded for taking difficult ones. At most, there should be one sanctioning body and one champion per weight class.

I guess MMA would be a distant, distant, distant, distant second. I have an interest in pretty much all combat sports. Those aside, I hold no interest in other sports. As a matter of fact, I view all other sports from Hockey to Basketball to Lacrosse with the utmost disdain. I especially hate football and baseball. I would include NASCAR but it would be an insult to real athletes to call that a sport.

I would have to count them. I won't. I don't have many on DVD, I have quite a few downloaded from torrents and I used to have a shit-ton recorded on my DVR before I left home. By now they're all replaced by episodes of One Tree Hill and The Vampire Diaries. Fucking teenagers.

All of the big ones not involving Floyd Maywather Jr. This year, though, it will probably be different, since I'm short on funds.

I would require all fighters snort a line of cocaine between each round and I would also have sprinklers rain pigs blood down upon the ring and have death metal blasting over the speakers throughout the fight. Cocaine, blood, Death-metal. And strobe lights.

In my system Vitally might never have gained the status of No1 challenger, because any aspiring beltholder would have had to go through Wladamir, hence when he comes out of retirment he has to either be prepared to fight his brother or be second teir.

I like the Movie,some parts are Corny and some Charachters are funny, Some realistic and some not so realistic. But overall it was very entertaining. Organized Fighting Championship
Less Weight Classes
Better PR for fighters and fights
International Venues (as opposed to ny, atlantic city and la)
Better union between US and Euro fighters
Better undercards with perhaps 6 round fights for up and comers
Less HBO PPV and more free to air boxing, it's hurting the sport.
Better Judges
More creativity in marketing

Also i hate in the big fights where the analysts kill the commentating with over analysis. It's all contradictory and confuses anyone else who doesn't anything of short of live boxing. They get all pernickity aswell.

Basketball, NFL all the rest have clear protocol when commentating and works well. I would like to see the analysists be put on a leash a bit more. Some of the shit Atlas comes out with is cringe worthy aswell.
