I know it sounds stupid right now but i was just looking at the "Floyd vs Pavlik" thread and it had me thinking about this one, now everyone knows Williams is a massive welterweight and it's expected that he'll at some point move up the weight classes, right now Williams is the same age as Pavlik, he's taller, has a bigger reach, is a southpaw, has lovely technical skills and actually moves his opponants around the ring and doesn't stand on the ropes so even though it might seem like a pipe dream right now i don't think it's an impossible match up.
Who wins this one? :D

Williams may become significant treat at 160 lb but he definitely isn't yet.
He need to move up and prove he carry on his tools over there, he isn't as
gifted technically as Floyd so it isn't obvious he will be good when he move up.

I also forgot to mention that Williams is a faster puncher than Pavlik too!!.. and speed was the one thing giving him problems on Saturday!!, the more i think about this match up the more i like Williams chances  .

If Williams ever bulked up this would be a GREAT fight! Both guys are tall and punch A LOT! However, Williams has never been hit with the kind of heat that Pavlik has - so I think he'd be put to sleep...
It's not certain that he'd be hit cleanly though!!, they said the same when he faced Margorito and that didn't happen, Williams chin isn't in question, i also feel Williams punch out put per round would give Pavlik extra cause for concern.

Williams may be tall but his frame is thin and he wont carry the weight to middleweight.. His power is average at 147 but at 160, he'll be nothing but a patty cake..
PAvlik KO Williams in a inhumane fashion.
Erm have you ever heard of the term "filling out"? , many people thought Floyd couldn't handle 154 too!!. it's obvious Williams could compete at the higher weight class as he walks around at around 165 anyway!!.

Hi definitely will gain some frame, its common mistake to think fighter
will move up with weight by carying the same frame :patsch
Hi will not grow up or bulky balls he will gain pure muscles.
As an example you may see Hopkins at 175 vs Hopkins at 160.

Exactly :good , at first i was hesitant about this match up but now i'd love to see it happen as i feel Williams has all the tools to make it one hell of a fight.

This matchup crossed my mind too. Williams certainly has the frame to come up to 160, but right now Pavlik is too strong and his pressure style would cause trouble for the strict move/volume punch style of the Punisher.

Have you heard of a thin bone? You actually think Floyd is a real junior middleweight? :-(
Why is obvious that williams could compete at the higher weights?Walk around weight and fighting weight are two different things noob..
Williams wont be a threat in the middleweight division.
Erm "thin bone" isn't muscle mas  , your fronting because Williams would be a massive danger to your boys hopes, there's no question the punisher would give Pavlik the kind of problems he's never faced before, while Pavlik is no different to Margarito!!.

if margarito could hurt him, pavlik should have no problem finishing him...early

Going by your analogy, I guess 122 titlist Celestino Caballero could be fighting at 154 right?
Why couldn't a 5''11 Corrales compete at 147?
Being tall doesn't always mean that one can move up successfully.
Yeah, and having a thin frame doesn't mean that you CAN'T move up successfully, so the difference is the same, Corrales and Williams are two different cases altogether.

Williams isnt exactly a strong puncher. I say Pavilik walks through his punches and breaks his jaw with an uppercut, KO 5
Lol. it's funny how "big punchers" are now the flavor of the month and the technical cats get "walked through", all that and the man at the top of the game (Mayweather) is not a ko artist!!, that shit is funny  , all Pavlik has is the right hand, take that away and he's in trouble and that is exactly what Willaims is capable of, and no "Margo" never hurt Paul, being hurt is what happened to Pavlik is the 2nd round on Saturday.

True, but Williams is an average puncher at 147 so what makes you think that he'll carry his power to be a threat?
You don't have to be a massive puncher to beat Pavlik, Taylor hadn't knocked down his previous 4 opponants before saturday so Pavlik isn't a brick wall, Williams beats Pavlik with his tricky hit and move game couple with his speed in the southpaw stance and punch output, he would have the height and reach advantage too so Pavliks jab wouldn't be a major problem!!, Taylor outboxed him when the fight was at the center of the ring so why couldn't Williams?.

Pavlik is 6'2" 1/2, and claims he is too. Williams is listed at 6'1" and is one skinny motherfucker
This is a joke, along with the thread starter :yep
Pavlik brutalizes Williams within 4. No contest
No you silly dumbass Williams is listed as 6.2 here
[Only registered and activated users can see links](boxer)
And in some places he's listed as 6.3!!, i see you didn't mention the 81 reach huh? , as i said to the other joker BOXERS CAN FILL OUT!!, stop being a damn groupie and get back to reality.

Kelly Pavlik just knock out a strong, and highly skilled linear MW champion of the world in Jermain Taylor, so how would he not knock out a freakishly skinny Welter?:hi:

Same with Pavlik, some places he can be listed at 6'3" too. Yeah, and Pavlik can fill out also, possibly as high as 175.
Admit it, you picked Taylor and now you're bitter but still refuse to give the new champ any credit and are looking for anyone to beat him.
And damn, you're desperate enough to find a fucking Welterweight like Williams who would be killed
Can you find any evidence that suggest i picked Taylor?, as i've said a millions times i'm a damn Mayweather fan!! , people are just so dumb, i haven't said Williams is a cert to beat Pavlik, I'M SIMPLY ASKING PEOPLE ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF THE FIGHT BECAUSE WILLIAMS IS GONNA MOVE UP SOON!!, stop catching feelings it's retarded.
