all solid performances...but considering joppy was on his feet at the final bell v. jermain and bhop (albiet in wide ud losses), tito blowing him out in 5 is very impressive.

Joppy lost because of the ring basically making that win null and void.

Vargas. He was a far better fighter than Joppy IMO.

Vargas was his best/biggest win.
I thought he looked the best in the Carr fight though. Patient, nice punch selection, he hadn't fallen in love with his power as he later did.
Of course Vargas was a better fighter than Carr, but I thought the Tito of 94 and around then was a little better on his feet and less of a plodder.

Vargas probably biggest win. Not all the certain on Titos best performance yet. Probably that one for now. :)

May not have been technically the best and definitely not the easiest but it was 2 unbeaten undefeated fighters at their peak with each having a genuine chance of losing.

Early Welterweight Tito was when he was at his best.it was all downhill from there even though he had almost all of his bigger wins later on.

He kind of burst on the scene with his total destruction of Mo Blocker to win the title. Blocker was slipping, but Tito was fairly unknown at the time. I remember watching that fight, I think it was on a Chavez undercard, but very impressive performance to get noticed.

I agree with this. I like the effort against Oba Carr, and as mentioned the Blocker fight was a good performance. I ven prefer the wins against Whitaker and Camacho. I realize these guys were past prime (especially Whitaker) but in their primes they were a couple notches above the guys listed in the poll. And Trinidad was flat out at his best at welterweight.

What I had heard was that Trinidad had his hands simply wrapped in a way that was legal in most places but not for that state. But not "loaded". If you know differently, please link me to the information.

David Reid. Reid had all of the tools to beat him, but Trinidad still won convincingly. Reid should have been able to do what DLH did. Vargas was definitely a great win, but you knew going in that he'd be taking punches, thereby letting Trinidad in the fight.
