Lee the 6'2 power punching south paw is one of Manny's true prized pupils. Manny has been developing this kid for a few years now and will continue to nurture him into a world Champ. Lee actually listens to Manny. You can tell Manny is frustrated with Taylor, JT kinda shuts down during fights and doesn't listen to him.

What do you guys think of Lee and do you think he could pose some real problems for pavlik?

It's too early in his career to tell and you're unlikely to ever see him in w/ pavlik.

Lee seems to have a lot of potential, and could indeed be the Kronk superstar that Taylor wasn't, but it's WAY too early to know for sure, and WAY to early to suggest how he'd match up with Pavlik.

Obviously I want him to succeed but there seems to be far too much hype around Andy Lee so early in his career.

I doubt Pavlik will even be champ by the time Lee gets in position to challenge.

something about him sparring with Klitshcko, J.Banks holding his own and whipping Taylor/Cintron sparring rumors have put a lot of hype on him. Plus Andy being with Manny so long adds on.

The Carl Daniel's Kayo in the Garden made me a fan. I think stylisticly Lee can create big problems for Kelly.

Then again you never know maybe Pavlik's right hand will touch the south paw Lee.

Anyone manny trains becomes the hype train--Does he have skills, from what i have seen -yes. But can he pose a threat to legit fighters remains to be seen. Time will tell but it really is too early to solidify his ranking up with the best.

he grew up fighting at Repton Boys here in London, wish him all the best.

I think Andy lee is a huge propsect and could potentially be great. DUde got skills for real though, hopefully he can climb through the ranks and get a shot. But its still early in his career to tell though

I've seen only 2 clips of Lee, and one of them against Carl Daniels.

The kid has serious power, to go with good movement and skills.

I am not sure of his chin though, purely from the looks of it he might have a Tito-like kind of chin. Which if so, means he will taste the canvass at some point against Pavlik.

Manny and Lee were on Chicago radio this morning and Stewart said Lee has bested everyone in sparring including Cintron and Taylor. He added that he thinks Pavlik will be very hard to beat over the next few years at middleweight and said that Lee would be the most likely to dethrone Pavlik due to his size, style and long reach.
Doesn't look like he wants Taylor to rematch Pavlik

Or he won´t be Taylor´s trainer in his next fight.

I missed the first part of the interview where Stewart discussed the Taylor/Pavlik fight but i wouldn't be surprised to see them part ways

I bet you Lee's opponent is a soft-bellied journeyman who goes down from a body punch :hey

Thats the type all these young guys feast on to pad their records although i don't know why Lee is fighting a guy like this - it does him no good at all

Manny wanted to start moving him along after the Daniels KAyo. it's hard finding fighters sometimes who knows. it worked for Kelly Pavlik.

The good thing at least is Lee is staying active , this will be his 6th fight this year and boxrec have him fighting again in just over 2 weeks .

Lee is one of the best two middleweight prospects around at the moment imo , the other is this guy [Only registered and activated users can see links]

Do you think that guy is better than Mean Joe Green out of New York? I've seen Green fight on TV a couple of times. He looks pretty good.

I was at the fight
My granny could have beat this guy and she is 88
Lee said after the fight he wants to fight stiffer competition but finding suitable opponents is hard to do

No wonder with Steward as his adviser/manager...don't get me wrong, I think he is a great coach but he shouldn't manage a guy he's training - this is far to much influence on a boxer by his...Lee should get a new manager who tries to sign him to a big promotional company...

I think he is doing a great job with Banks and Lee and has matched banks well. Lee is having a hard time finding decent opponents.

Nevertheless a big promotional outlet would fit a guy like Lee better than his current position...

Yes, I have also seen Andy Lee live in Germany and even had a chat with him at Klitschko - Brewster II.
I also saw him on German TV, when he had fought on Klitschkos undercards...

The other guy was so afraid to get hit he wouldn't let his hands go and barely laid a glove on Lee.It was as one-sided as a fight could be.
Lee looked fast but not super fast although its hard to tell over 1 round

Good move for Lee he's one of my favorite prospects. The kid has a bright future and Manny will continue to help him.
