From the first time I saw Hatton fight I remembered why since the days of Arguello vs Escalera that I was a boxing fan. I wasn’t even a fan of the guys yet but I was so impressed by his determination to pound his way right through his opponent’s body that I was pumped up about the fight game again. Yeah he grabs, long enough to get in position to whack a guy right in the spare-ribs and then over the top with a hook and right back to the body. Give me that type of straight out “his face in the guys’ chest the whole time action” any day! If people are looking to save boxing then these are the boxers that are going to do it. You don’t bill a fight “The Fight to Save Boxing!” cause it won’t. Boxing can only save boxing. So find the next deserving challenger (not a NAME looking for more $ and camera time) somebody, dangerous in their own right, who will make us scratch our heads saying “…..I don’t know…?” Boxing needs to strike while the iron is hot and give us more of what we love. Good fights and Fighters that fight.
