Thought I would start a thread where you talk about something you have done or do that is boxing related only an obsessive boxing fan would do.
For example;
I own a red baseball cap that just says "WAR" on the front like Marvin Hagler.
I pretty much broke up with my last girlfriend when she asked "is boxing fake like wrestling"
I have a punch bag, skipping rope and bench press in the garage. On the outside I have a sign that says "Wildcare Gym"

When my girlfriend asks when I can take holidays my first consideration is always which fights abroad can I work them around.
I put fight dates into my work calendar (which any Tom Dick and Harry can access)
I consider Budd Schulberg the height of literary achievement.
When I look at a map I think of boxers from that region
I turned down a girl I had been pursuing for a year at uni to watch the all night Judgement night I (Tyson - Holyfield). She ended up with some other bastard that night and I lost an accumulator on the whole nights fights because Tyson lost.

I'm an obsessive fan as boxing is my life. Almost every moment I think about boxing and anything to do with it. In my spare time I am at the gym as much as I can manage and out of the gym I'm always shadow boxing and perfecting my technique. In my spare time I watch fights on DVD or come on here or research boxing.
At my boxing gym I get called 'Ask Greg' or 'Mr Boxing' as I know alot about boxing, also at school if theres anything to do with boxing I am the authority on it. Even my family say 'Everything is boxing' for me.
Also I watch every fight I can but sometimes have to record them if I am in training but I always stay up till 5am when I can to watch the fights and fights I dont get I get from websites to watch from around the world.
On average I watch about 2 full fights aday, at least 2 recent main event fights a week, and spend about £600 on boxing DVD's a year which is loads for me. Everything is boxing, I give up going out with my freinds because Im training the next day or a fight is on TV. I gave up my Brithday for training for a fight.
Thats why i am obsessive. Also the fact that I obsessivly learn about boxing and I think anyway have a good knowledge on it. Also I help out at news.boxrec.com and write a weekly historical article for them which takes about 3-4 hours a week.
Saying all this, i Love boxing.
i missed my sons first birthday to go watch Tszyu v Hatton.

My first and only tattoo will probably be of Marco Antonio Barrera.
I own 400-500 fights on DVD. My student loan paid for them.
I greet my mother by shadowboxing around her as opposed to a hug or a 'hello'.
I shadowbox...all the time.
I paid for the Setanta Sports suscription myself when I was 19 because it's the only way I could watch Boxing.
The amount of shitty, unwatchable, god damn awful streams I've sat up till 6am for just to see something vaguely representing a Boxing match is embarrassing.
If work don't get Tuesdays off for me every week, I'll consider leaving just so I can train.
On a date with a girl I really liked, a lot of the conversation was about Boxing and Barrera. There was no second date.
I was out with my hot female friend in a night club, and decided to leave her there by herself at 2am so I could go home and watch Mijares vs Munoz.
I've watched Barrera vs Morales I probably around 50-60 times.
I have over 12,000 posts on here...and it's not because of the company.

Its better than paying sky, just takes some pissing about.I had it set on astra to pick up Germany and Poland. But then moved it to pick up 1 west for Kessler. It is not working at all now.It takes time but is worth it in the end.Best to do the settings the day before the fight.People take the piss but i very rarely have to use sky box office.

I sit up till 6am in my room in Milton Keyens watching some of the shittest fights on the shittest streams half of the time in a foreign language just so I know how a fights gone.

I have bought loads of programmes and DVD's in the past 2 years that my missus believes were a fraction of the price. I too, am dead if she was to find out :-(
My missus had all of her friends round a while back on the day after the Froch/Taylor fight. I refused to let them watch anything else and in the 8th round my missus said "Well your man is getting beat here Daniel" in a smart arse kinda way. I said "It's ok numnuts this isn't even live, it's from last night, I know the score and my boy does fucking win" to which she went mad that I already knew the score.
When on holiday a few years back after just having boxed in the Army, in a karaoke bar two lads were pissed up shadow boxing like eejits. I was wasted and wanted to 'out-shadow box' them on the dance floor. My missus refused and said she'd go home if I did. We had an argument and never spoke for the rest of the night :rofl
Me and the missus (when pregnant) fell out around 20 times over whether or not Floyd was a good name for a white baby. She won :-( My boy is called Lucas
I have to go to fights on my own half of the time as half my mates won't go unless it's in Manchester/Khan isn't fighting.
I bought my missus boxing gloves for Valentines Day - Never been used :-(

In most things I do I have a boxing analogy that makes it all make sense...:yep. We use the lexicons of boxing so much in our everyday life, I just can't see how people just don't get it...
I knew my level of obsession when my bird, who then became my ex wanted me to go to her Mams 60th Birthday the night Naz fought Robinson... She screamed " what the fuck is more important...?" I looked at her in dis-belief and said nothing...
After she had crawled through the tumbleweed I said "welcome to the world that is my life...:yep..."
Needless to say, I never went to the party... She became my ex before the 1st bell...!!!
I would not have it any other way...:yep

I remember my old man was so busy at work that he would say maybe 10 words to me during the work week. Whilst just walking home I realised that I was bobbing and weaving out of the way of branches that were in my way.
Lol. I do this. I also find myself slipping and sliding to the side when passing people in corridors, really concentrating on my footwork. When I get pissed I find myself attempting to use the pull light in the bathroom as a makeshift speedbag (it never works).
You have to love boxing to go to sleep early without drinking, set the alarm and wake up at an unGodly hour, only to watch your favourite fighter take a pasting ; head sullenly back to your pit and get woken up, bleary eyed at 7am after an hour and a halfs kip, by your kid jumping up and down on the bed :deal

I don't think I'm an obsessive fan, I just do some weird things. I work at Royal Mail :patsch Yeah :yep Lol, anyway, I often get bored, and we stack those big letters A4 size on top of eachother. Sometimes some poke out, so I look around to check it's clear, and I punch them, jab, jab, straight, til they go in. We also have this thing called a 'horseshoe'. Basically it's about 9 cages all set out in the shape of a horseshoe, and they're all different locations. You get a packet out, and throw it into the cage with the right location. I stand infront of the cages and like to get people to throw packets at me, so I can parry them, or use epic head movement to get out the way. It's getting good, because people do it now without me asking, and my reflexes are really tested. I've demonstrated a good jaw, probably the best jaw in royal mail :deal
Before I shower, I look at myself in the mirror, and shadowbox as the water heats up. Also before a shower, I undress as if I'm about to get on the scales. Sometimes I decide to keep my socks on, as a statement to my imaginary opponent that I've made the weight easily, and don't need to take my socks of to make weight. I also hit the shower curtain before I shower. I once hit it too hard and the whole thing fell down.

every friday without fail same old ritual boxing news picked up before work read on the way to work then friday night no matter how bad the card looks i turn down all invitations to go out cant beat a friday night with a pizza watching jim watt talking pish knowing there might be a minor classic on the card though when the mrs was due our first born i insisted that if it was a boy it was going to be called floyd though a girl was born hence the reason theres another one on the way i might not be as obsessed as others on here but give me 2 guys giving there all in a ring over any sport in the world as soon as that bell rings its all upto you love or hate a boxer it doesnt matter really because every time they step into the ring they have my respect thats the reason i love boxing
Sounds like you have cloned my mind

On the way home from work the other day. I started commentating in my head about Mosley stopping Mayweather.
"And the right hand lands, Mayweather's down for the first time in his career. He can't beat the count. Mosley makes history!"
I am so desperately sad.

I wasn't sure if I was until I read this thread. I don't post naked, but I shadow box, I weigh up people and decide what weight class they would be in, the office fox thinks I am rather strange when she caught me jabbing the shit out of some envelopes stacked on a shelf. I loved Rocky growing up. I make money related decisions for boxing that push my mrs ever closer to divorce, I use up my "unlimited" Internet allowance on my iPhone every month reading gargantuan amounts of boxing related material. I think about boxing far more than I realise, and I know I love it far more than football

Think I'm gonna start taking my 20 month old son, who incidentally is the reason I am up so early this morning (didn't watch b hop, just too tired, running in empty, maybe I'm not obsessive enough!) to the gym and start teaching him early doors how to be a real man!

Any married man will tell you I put myself on some very dangerous ground right there!

I'm a obsessive Boxing fan because...
I've grew up around the sport, it's what i've knew since i was small. Boxing has and still does run in my family. I watch every fight possible that's on TV, and any that's on the internet. I attend Boxing show's, local, home country and abroad.
Most of my Facebook status' are about Boxing, other forum's i use, a lot of my thread's are about Boxing. I'm very argumentative when it come's to the sport, my girlfriend had to literally drag me from a party when somebody said Amir Khan could beat Mayweather, Pacquiao and David Haye in a few year's before i properly started.
I don't have the biggest DVD collection but i'm working on it.
I'm amazed that other guy has 10,000 DVD's, must be some money's worth :-\

"You don't know shit 'bout boxin" is the standard reply I use when I lose an argument, no matter what it's about.
If I get rejected by a girl I say to her "you don't know shit 'bout boxin"
Girl: You know, you're so sexist and backwards, expecting women to do all the housework while you laze around"
Me: You don't know shit 'bout boxin
