Prime for prime. I believe Berg came along a little bit later than Lewis. Only half a stone seperating their peak weights. Thoughts ?

what a fight that would be,it would just be a blur of arms.i'd have to say lewis too,he'd have the edge in weight and bigger feet.

Lewis is bigger and stronger I think he could make it tell in the trades and push Berg back but saying that I think Berg is more skilled but in the trades I dont think it will make much difference and he would lose on points.

Lewis is naturally bigger, stronger, harder hitting, and also simply better. I'd favor him in his prime, probably by stoppage.
Incidentally, I believe they did fight when Lewis was well past his best, and Berg won either by decision or stoppage.

Don't think they ever fought.

I think you're right.
The Boxing Register lists Berg as having fought Ted "Kid" Lewis in 1925; however, boxrec lists that opponent as simply being someone called "Kid Lewis" here: [Only registered and activated users can see links]
Thanks for clearing that up.

Lewis's last "fight " was the right hander he landed on Oswald Mosley's acquiline nose.
