OK he is #1 pvp but he haven't got the proper credit so far beating recently DLH, Judah and others.
Will you give hime more credit if he beat Mosley, Cotto, Hatton, Margarito ...
all of them in the same disapponting style by very slight margin.

I think he is a great fighter...his greatness would soar in my eyes if he beat Trinidad (which could be likely), Cotto, Hatton, Mosley, and Margarito/Williams.

What DoumB said, and when he meets the best outthere also. Ali had a mouth, and he supported it with fighting the best.

What kind of credit are you expecting? He's already getting the credit he deserves. :yep . . . a credit for being a bad mouth street punk.

You know the difference between ALi's bad mouth and Floyd's bad mouth? People always knew that Ali's bad mouthing is for HYPING the fights. Immediately after the fight he changes his tone and praises his opponents to enternity. :yep Have you heard anything like this from Floyd? Nah Floyd has it in his personality.
Ali is a dignified person out of the ring, Floyd is a natural street punk that's the difference. :hey

He has trouble taking out fighters who are pretty much shot.
Hatton fights a shot Castillo --> KO4
PBF fights a shot ODLH --> SD
yes there is the weight issue, but still

are you saying oscar looked as slow and wobbly as castillo. oscar is not shot and neither is b-hop. hatton would have no chance against oscar.

Agreed.
I hope Hatton vs ODLH happens.
That would be huge. Maybe even bigger than PBF vs ODLH was.
That will never happen....Hatton is WAY too small.

Floyd will never get the credit he deserves. Some of it is due to his own asshattedness, and some of it is due to the fact that slick technical, defensive boxers rarely ever get huge fan recognition.

Margarito has fought more ranked welterweights and is ranked # 1 yet Floyd is ranked champion :huh

As much as I dislike the mans attitude and personality.... Who's beating him? Really

I think Floyd does get credit for being a 5 weight world champion, that much cannot be denied. No one doubts that speed wise and defence wise he is on another level to most elite fighters of the current era.
The problem is attitude and humility. He pretty much disrespects most fighter he steps in the ring, or if he doesn't his buffoon team of handlers do. He talks about KO'ing them out, doing x,y and z to them. Then steps into the ring and dances round the outside throwing the occassional flurry and winning by a wide points decision in a thoroughly dull affair.
I definitely give him his dues and credit for the skill, but would prefer to watch a Hatton, Cotto, Pac Man, Arca, Margarito, Mosley, anyday of the week as they come to fight.
