ESB Rankings Committee Update

OK, guys, we're all set for the initial round of ESB Official Rankings.

Right now we have 18 confirmed members -- six posters never got back to me, but they still have through the end of the week -- and we'll start from there.

For those of you on the Committee, check the Consitution thread on the top of the page (page 4, then scroll down) if you have any questions. The rankings will include top 10s for each division (and top 5s for some of the lower divisions) and PfP rankings as well.

Remember, you are not required to fill out every slot of every division. Use your expertise where you can, but it's OK to leave some spaces blank.

You'll also get to vote on new applicants who nominate themselves for the Committee.

Yeah, I think this will make the experience less stressful and time-consuming. I hope that the rankings will become more complete as the committee expands, but realistically 18 out of 18 people aren't going to have a top-to-bottom knowledge of every division.

I'm an avid fan of every division down to 112, but 100-108, I could really care less about, it's a shame, but I just don't care about it much.

No kiddin' I was kinda quaking in my booties over this one. Hell, outside of Viloria and Calderon and maybe one or two others, I've never even seen most of these guys fight!:patsch

I will try to do a top three or five for some of those lower weight classes, but it has to be considered somewhat speculative at best.

So these ratings are all due Sunday?? And to whom are they to be submitted?

I'll set up an official thread on Friday or Saturday, with instructions for formatting. (I've setting up an Excel spreadsheet to score this stuff more easily, I hope.)

You'll post them on the thread, then send your votes on candidates to me and one other person to be named later. It'll be a lot easier than it sounds, especially after you establish a foundation this first time. After that, you'll just be tweaking your rankings a bit each month.

People get forgotten sometimes. I strongly recommend that you nominate yourself (thread on that coming soon) for admission, and that way if you make it, you'll be included in November's ballot.
