A poor man's Jeff Lacy.
Paul Daley is a former world muay thai champ if im correct.
He is a good fighter though, massive for 170lbs.

He's English but he's from Nottingham, therefore he is red dog scum and can't be as good as you say.

He is a very good fighter and great at what he does. Obviousl in a boxing ring he would be very poor but in a cage or whatever other ring he fights in he can fight the best so long as the fight stays standing up. Followed his career for awhile and the recent UFC win was great, hopefully he gets a payday.

He's a good striker with devastating hands.
He's got Koscheck up next and Koscheck just ruined the gravy train for one prospect!

don't beat he'd beat koscheck to be honest, like achilles said he's recently wrecked rumble johnson
would be a good fight tho!

I'm pretty sure that a couple of years ago, Paul Daley actually applied for a Pro boxing license but the BBBoC turned him down.
Their reasoning was something along the lines of MMA not having an official sanctioning body in this country and so they considered his MMA fights to be unlicensed which is apparently enough of a reason to turn down an application.

I can't see vids in work, Daley's the black kid from Notts in the last UFC is he not? I've caught his last 2 or 3 fights.
The lad's got some heavy hands. Great to watch.
Does anybody here know a bit about him? Has he improved alot as I noticed he'd lost 4 or 5 times before, but was definitely being hyped as the next big thing by Joe Rogan etc. How's his chin?

His chin is fine, he's never been knocked out.
It's his ground game that's his weakness as most of his losses have come via submission.
As for his losses, he's lost 8 times i believe, a couple of those were very early on in his career.
Similar to Dan Hardy, they sought out tough fights against tough foreign opponents before they signed with the UFC.
The result is their records don't look so impressive, but the experience they have gained from those fights should prove invaluable

I like the way people saying MMA is for fags !! ?
An MMA fighter would rip the shit out of most boxers ...
Unless you just glued to ya TV all ya life and have never had a fight in your whole life(which means its expected that your ignorant) you cant really be calling MMA fighters fags......
A street fight is basically what happens in MMA......
Paul Daleys a good fighter....

Fighting is Fighting !!
Boxing and MMA is the same essence !!
Its like two religions, There meanings are the same, just two different ways of explaining them ...
As a kid, you ain't naturally born a world class boxer, you born a scrapper who'll roll around on the floor and do what ever you can to win !!
Boxing is built into you from a young age...

Hey man, his chins v good never been stopped in a record of 23-8-2 (only tko on his record was a dislocated thumb) won his 1st 2 fights with the ufc by stopping good contenders in the 1st. The guys a beast at 170lbs but against sometime with good takedowns he might struggle (suspect to submissions) He's a banger 4 sure good to watch
Would get hammered by a proper boxer. I wouldn't write home about his skills. Good for MMA maybe good by pro boxing standards not really.

True, hands too low down, got a good left hook, but have you seen how much he leans in with it?!?!?But still hes from notts so I am, how they say on the street, "reppin".
just cos Joe Rogan says hes a technical boxer doesnt make it so. Rogan knows a fuck of a lot about BJJ but doesnt really have much of clue when it comes to striking, plus him and Daley are boys and train at the same place. BJ Penn doesnt have that power but is much more technical in his boxing.

daley is possibly the most technical striker in mma no way is he the most technical boxer, not a chance, he is a former muay thai fighter he has good hands but no way has he better boxing than lil nog who won a bronze in the pan american games in boxing 2007, also two time national champ in brazil, bj penn is a better boxer too, yosuke nishijema is a former wbo and nabo champion

MMA is shite.
He looks tough, I hate the ground and pound shit in MMA though aka beat the shit out of them when they're down and defenceless. Puts me off watching it.
Quite enjoyed the K1 tournaments I've caught though

Daley is a good MMA fighter. His striking is far superior to many in the UFC but put him in the ring with a top 20 domestic fighter and he gets schooled imo. It does show that boxing can win fights in UFC. As seen with Mercer. I'm shocked that his last opponent tried trading with him. I'm a fan of his...lays it all on the line.

From looking at his record it would seem he needs to work on his sub defence. He has lost by choke on several occasions and hasn't fought any top tier opposition. But he looks exciting.
