I think he is a good referee but his work tonight was way off mark both in Mazikin - Airich and in Oral - Liggieri.

he was a good ref 10 years ago, now he is way off the mark everytime he works in Germany. The 4 major German promoters love to book this guy and they know why!

He has very good qualities. But the reason to get appointments is that he likes to score for the home guy. Me personaly thinks that Mazikin deservs low blow penalties. Very correct decision. It wasn't referee's fault that the judges scored this fight as a draw (including one of the guys, who was Ukrainian:)

Obviously it will look like I'm bitching when I agree with you, but I fought just once here in Europe and had to fight an Oener fighter, Solis, and Van De Wiel was the ref.

Every fighter will tell you he was ok, and it shouldnt have been stopped, but in my case, I was fine. It was the 9th round and though I was hit with a good combo, he stopped it way to soon.
A victory for me was going out on my feet. He denied me of that. :yep

Off topic, but I am here in Germany now sparring for another week. I have been sparring all Saurlands cruiserweights and heavyweights for the past year. 7th sparring trip I have been on with them. Sauraland are a great team and they make me feel very welcome.

Once again though, thank you. It does feel good to get some props on the fight. :yep

Van der Wiele makes mistake after mistake, he is the worst judge in Europe for sure. I even have my doubts if he isn't getting payed by German Promotors.

if Van de Wiele is so bad, then most european refs are.

He is great compared to Ian John-Lewis or Vasquez Marcos for an example.
