Post your predictions here and I will update them as soon as I get back online tommorow after work. The general feeling here is that this is an easy victory for Pacman and I agree but in which manner will he do so?? and I have picked Manny to win which if you ask me is a legit reason to pick MAB to pull off the upset (If i pick a fighter I curse them and they lose ).
Anyways post how and what you think will happen:

Barrera UD
The stories about the many distractions Pacquao has been experiencing lead me to believe that Marco has a solid chance to "steal" a victory here. I don't think he's quite as "shot" as people think - although he's clearly past his prime. I also think that Pac is overconfident, and this may spell disaster against Barrera.

I think this may be the first time I have agreed with one of your posts. That being said, I don't think I could have said it better myself. I don't believe Barrera is as "shot" as people think, I do believe he has been saving the last of his greatness for this fight, I also believe Pac has too many distractions. Barrera by decision in his last great performance.

Barrera will be better prepared and make the necessary adjustments. I dont think pac will have an easier time, no way. BArrera won't be as surprised by pac's speed and he knows what to expect. Im sure Barrera will time pacman's punches and his bullrushes an look to catch him with counters.
It'll be a competitive fight before pacman comes alive and knocks him out...
Barrera has been getting old...he has had a number of tough fight on the way of getting old, Pacquiao only been getting better...you do the math...

And no, this fight isn't useless, it will pave way for:
1. Barrera'e retirement
2. a much more highly anticipated Pac-Marquez showdown
Pacquiao by TKO in round 6.

Pac in a one sided beating again. Will end in rd 6.
PAcD serious question.. So you claim that pac will win in a one sided beating right? That means you consider Barrera as an easy fight right??
I'll answer this for you, I consider Barrera as a tough fighter overrall but for skills like Pacquiao's he stands no chance. If Barrera is an easy fight then why did Marquez struggle against him recently?

i think only the elites of that division stands a chance against MAB, and there's very few of them...MAB still beats most of the upcoming fighters. This is not an easy fight for PAC but he is definitely the favorite.:deal

I'm going with Barerra, call it sentimental, but I believe that MAB's more recent boxing performances, determination to face down the opponent that stole his thunder, will give him the FOCUS and EDGE to reverse the fortunes.
No matter the result, I'm sure we are all getting the $$$$$'s worth:good

You said it yourself that he stands no chance so you're pretty much dissming him.
MArquez had somewhat of a struggle against BArrera because of their styles. BOth came in as highly tactical boxers and when two taticians collide, youll more than likely see 12 rounds of competitive boxing match.
:yep
they're similar in many ways..only i think JMM is sharper..

MAB is not an easy fight to anybody. But Pac will make it look easy again. Pac is in a Different league now. If MAB & EM was a top 40-50 ATGs, Pac was already in the top 20s in my book & just entering his Prime. Just enjoy the action, it will be a little competitive but the result will be the same. Domination by Pac!!!
PacDbest
10-03-2007, 12:33 AM
So pacman is fighting a prime barrera?
4 years ago barrera was still near his Prime & he was no match for Pac. Barrera today is still a good fighter(Competitive loss to JMM Proves this) & A little bit old. But Pac is on a Different League now. When you mixed JMM, MAB, Juarez, EM, Soto & Guzman you will always see competitive & a Close fight. You matched Pac with any great Fighters... most of the time you'll see Domination that ends in a Knockout!!!! Why only Pac can do this????

Pacquiao showing no remorse, knocking MAB's head for a fuckin' TKO in round 3... Just imagine EM-PAc 3, only Pac had MAB's number.
People should realize that inspite of all these distractions, Pac is an old school warrior who is all business when it comes to training.
And after his defeat in the election, and losing a lot of money in the process, he would surely like to avenge that.. big time...
Too bad, it will be MAB's ass...:yep

I am a huge Barrera fan but I think he is getting too old to beat Pac. Pac's style would give a peak MAB trouble and while I think MAB at his best might have been versatle enough beat Pac he is just too old for a relentless pressure fighter with great speed and power.
Pac by 9th round TKO and I hope I am wrong.

Thats a bold prediction. How do you see that playing out?
If Barrera has one last great fight in him, I see him doing it with body shots. I know Pac has abs of steel, but no-one can condition the floating ribs/liver area and, when Barrera's on song, his left hook to the body is the best in the business.

Barrera wins his share of rounds, buzzes Pac when he gets way too open when charging in, and leaves a couple of welts on Pac's face.

Most Pac fans predicted the JMM-Pac fight would be a quick finish.
Many thought he'd just run over JMM, but that didnt happen. We can say "socks", we can say "blisters", we can say "sprained hand", but whether all of that are true or not, whether the people thought Pac won or JMM won, we all saw that fight went the full distance.
Many things can happen inside the ring. No fight is routine.

Just look around the Boxing Sites today & read quotes from most ATG fighters like SRL, HOF trainers & historians & you'll hear all Praises for Pac. Nobody among them are giving Barrera a Chance, Prime or Not.
When was Barrera's Prime??? On what time in his Career he was Rated the highest P4P by the Ring magazine??? Isn't it in 2003 where he was rated top 3 P4P????

go to the FANTASY BOXING BETTING forum.
go to the Pac-Barrera II thread.
there's a "poll" inside. type in the amount you want to bet on.
example:
[choices]
Pac win- 500
Barrera win-
Less than 12 rounds-
Draw-
Full 12 rounds-
Anybody got the right prediction that the fight will last the whole 12 rounds with Pacman winning? I guessed Pacman on 6th (or 7th) round. But I didn't predict that Barrera will not fight toe to toe. He was contended moving to the right of Pacman the whole 12 rounds.
