Both fighters our a shell of there former selves, though they still have a name and attract interest in the average boxing fan. Would Tyson put Morrison to sleep in 1st round or will he catch a lack luster Tyson in the middle rounds, I dont no why but this fight interests me even now. Would you drop 30 dollars if this 2 were to fight next month and who win in this present day matchup?

The absolute best version of this fight would have been in 1991/2.
1996 would have also been great

I'd pay $15.00 for that fight.......................or Tyson vs. Tua................or Morrison vs. Tua.
Tyson probably KO's Tommy in the 1st or 2nd round but after that it's anybody's fight.

Is Morrison still allowed to fight after he lied about his HIV tests?
No one said he lied. You shouldn't make things up you know nothing about. If you go read the news, to this day he has tested negative for HIV.

Well we know Tyson wont be taking any chances with someone who was rumored to be HIV positive at one point, so I guess ear biting will be out of question.

I would donate money to charity rather than throwing money away on this piece of crap. We have enough PAy per views, we don't need trash like this. Most ufc fights are trash and people pay what 40 or 50 to see that shit, plus Zelenoffs pro debut on the undercard would be enough for my to pay 30 for both.

You might find this silly coming from a big-time Tyson fan like myself but I'm pretty damn sure this will make A LOT of money. Hell, Tyson vs McBride made as much as Morales vs Pacquiao.

Thats what I mean, people love to watch Tyson fight, even more people that dont even watch boxing tune into anybody Tyson fights. I remember when I went to see Tyson fight Mcbride at Hooters, the place was fucking packed, you would think Jenna Jamison was giving out free blow jobs. The combination of Morrison/Tyson would be enough for alot of people to tune in.

I'd go to a bar to watch it, but I'd have to sneak there and not tell anyone, because people who came would think it was a prime Tyson in the ring. This would be an embarassment more than anything.

THE MAN IS DONE Yeah and Foreman retired in 77 and came back in 87, most fighters do retire and comeback mostly for money. A boxers never really done till hes 6 feet deep, look at Holmes he came back in 02 to fight Butterbean and most people thought that was a joke.

You must not understand Tyson to think he could be a threat in the division still. Tyson's style was high maintenance, he will never do it again.

I never said Tyson would be a dominant heavywieght again, I just wanted to see this fight thats all. Im sure theres a fighter you like, that you know that will never be great again but you just like seeing him fight. Tyson is still exciting to watch fight, with this lame ass heavywieght division I would rather watch Tyson anyday.

No he isn't.
Tyson hasn't been exciting in say...17 years or so? Not since before the Douglas fight has Tyson been a truly formidable fighter.
When you get knocked the hell out by Kevin McBride, you are a complete and total shadow of what you once were.

When you get knocked the hell out by Kevin McBride, you are a complete and total shadow of what you once were. While your somewhat right, he has not been the legendary fighter in 15 years though has been the most exciting, his PPV sales is the most of any other heavywieght which would indicate alot of people like to see him fight. When Tyson fought Lewis in 02 it broke PPV sales records for that time, when Tyson fights people watch. I remember bars around my area putting signs outside saying we will be showing the Tyson fight, and this was in july of 04 when he fought williams and in june 05 when he fought Mcbride. He is the most exciting fighter of all time and many would agree with me.

If Tyson wasn't headed off to the hoosegow, this might be a realistic possibility. Unlike many, I don't object to these aging, washed-up fighters getting in the ring - as long as it's with someone whose skills are every bit as eroded as theirs are.
Tyson-Morrison fits that bill to a "t."

Tyson-Morrison fits that bill to a "t." Yeah thats what I was trying to say, I guess some people thought I was saying he all of sudden is going to be great again at the ripe age of 41 again. You remember when they use to have them legends of boxing fights, guys like Tim witherspoon, Greg page, and a couple others use to come back and fight in there 40s after they already retired. I know alot people would watch this fight on PPV, people like seeing Tyson fight.

Don't kid yourself, even those who say THEY'RE not interested know this fight would sell, bigtime, to the average sportsfan - and quite a few nostalgic boxing fans.
Lemme tell you, if Holyfield wins the title, and Tyson isn't in the joint too long, you can bet a Tyson rematch will one of the fights they consider. Now that fight, even today, would be a PPV bonanza! :nod

Most people cant even name 1 of the 4 heavywieght champs, but if you mention Tyson people crazy, at least pittsburgh where I live.

That's exactly right. Hardcore fans may HATE the fact that most average sports fans in the U.S. wouldn't know Calzaghe or Kessler if they came up to 'em on the street, but that's the reality. But they all know Tyson and Morrison, and even though they are both washed up, you could GUARANTEE if a fight were made between the two, it would be the biggest story in boxing, and would be prominently discussed on sports shows all over the place, AND it would make BIG money.

Guys like Tyson and Holyfield represent a time when the heavywieght division was exciting and when everybody knew who is the champ was not just die hard boxing fans.
