Muhammad Ali has to keep both hands behind his back. He can tuck in his chin against his chest. He is told to stay standing after being hit with a single punch or something terrible will happen -- to his family, whatever. It is important to him that he stays upright.
Mike Tyson may not step in. He is to stand flat-footed in front of Muhammad Ali and throw any one single punch. He is told that if he cannot drop this man something terrible will happen -- to his ...to his...to himself.
Who wins? Well, besides that one of them gets hit in the face no matter what.

Hmm if Tyson' cant step in , I'd imagine that would sap a bit of his power, because he wouldn't get much momentum on the punch. I'd say Ali still stands, but gets wobbled a bit.

Alis chin. Ali will know the punch is coming. Everytime Ali got kd, I do not believe he saw the punch, knew it was coming or where it wasd landing. It came from hooks that started low and were not tracked. Not to mention his footing/stance was completely wrong for all of the kds. I think it was sqaure on v Banks, on his toes, straight legged and leaning forward for Cooper and throwing an uppercut for Frazier.

Actually I take that back . I'm not sure if Ali would still be standing, because we know Tyson could hit super hard from any angle, flat-footed or not. He had great technique and used leverage for his punches. So I'd say Ali would likely get dropped, but who knows.

Ali takes it with a bit of a shudder. After all he stood in front of George Foreman for 8 rounds, a single shot from Tyson won't be any worse than that.

Tyson's best punch was his left hook, and if Sir 'enry can deck Ali/Clay with his left hook, Tyson, if he can get it off, he would have a fair chance as well. But weather it would be enough to keep Ali on the floor is another matter.

This is all there needs to be said. KO punches are the ones you don't see.

Tyson at his best hit harder than Frazier, but you are right in that I think as well Ali would get up if Tyson hit him with a left hook.

I'll take a great chin over great power every time. Ali is left standing.

The major problem is Tyson hit in combinations. Joe Louis's trainer Blackburn, told Joe to keep hitting on them even when they are falling and drive them to the ground.
So I don't think Tyson would stop with just the right hand, but a left hook and / or uppercut would follow and its lights out for Mr. Ali.

That Changes to 3-4 free shots which becomes an entirely different story.
1 Shot would be tough especially when you know its coming. 3-4 might be different
