So Lee McAllister defends his Commonwealth Lightweight Title tomorrow night. Sky Sports tell me that he defends against "the unbeaten African, Sam Amoako"
Yeah, unbeaten in 6 fights. That's 6 fights in 5 years, against 4 fighters who haven't actually won a fight between them, and he could only stop 2 of them.
Boxrec has Amoako ranked at 727 in the world.
:thumbsup Fanatstic opponent. Well done to all concerened.

Sure I read that his record is actually a lot better than that but boxrec haven't got the info.
I am glad McAllister's on TV though enjoy watching him box and he doesn't really get that much TV attention south of the border so be good for him.
I know a fight with him and Martin Gethin was mentioned last year but then Gethin lost to a journey man, but now he's won the English strap I'd like to see that fight. But obviously the likes of John Watson is ahead of the queue (both he and McAllister trained by Dave Coldwell though) and also I know a lot of you on here (especially the scots) would like to see Limond McAllister.

The thing is McAllister is sooo overly protected. He doesn't need to be he's a good fighter but all he's fought is past its and never were's. He's better then that.

This is one of the worst FNF cards, I don't get how Barry Hearn is a top promoter?

Who else is on the card?
Not that I'll be watching. Repeats of EastEnders are on channel 115 at 10pm. That seems more appealing than watching this

He's been doing it for years, plus he seems to focus more on Prizefighter now anyway.
Anyway, the card is poor - bad main event and poor support fights. Only fight I am looking forward to is McArthur vs Barrett.

Nobody, The card stinks. I am only watching because I have a load of vcash on McAllister stopping the afrobum.

That Amoako guy fought one decent guy (9-2-1) at his debut, and after that he fought 5 bums with a combined record of 1-20, 0 KO's :-(

Is it not Gilmour who's put this bill together?
Josh Wale's on the undercard against Marc Callaghan also

They miss out on a lot of fights in odd locations. If the guy's fighting out of Nigeria, it's a pretty safe bet that there are a bunch of fights missing from his boxrec record.

I was at the fight last night and Savage was far and away the most impressive fighter on the card. I thought his movement was excellent, I think he can go on to be a big name on the British scene in a couple of years.

I don't know who he is..... but if he'd bothered fighting the first six rounds he might have beat McAllister.
God knows how McAllister packs out places.... jeez he is boring to watch - and not all that good either.... it's not as if he has an endearing personality, he's pretty bland other than his bullshit statements now and then.

:yep
I probably would be humble as well as embarrassed..... I guess we have all been there in any sport when you win and don't deserve to - strange feeling, probably magnified in boxing where it is a matter of someone elses opinion whether you win or not.
He doesn't seem the sort of bloke I like nor dislike really, to be honest.... I guess you never know.
At least he was honest and admitted he was poor, as for going for Euro honours, is there a Euro champ at the minute?
If he gets there before Murray it would really show Hennessy up.
