just got his biggest win with a clear UD over alexander sipos......the guy who gave then euro champ amin asikainen a close fight before losing on points.

sipos was promoted by arena (who also manage solis, gamboa etc).

aramian stands out to me cause he is not your typical european prospect.

he had no big amateur background and was tossed in the deep water early, going pro at 17.

he went 4-3 before winning a UD over then prospect stefan trabant ( 34-2-2).
he lost two fights while still a teeager vs sebastian sylvester, going down on points both times.

he is probably best known for losing to star german fighter jurgen bramer, being forced to retire with an injury after 5 rounds.
the only time he lost by stoppage.
but one has to remember that he took the fight on 6 days notice.

one other loss came vs unbeaten world rated robert stieglitz, also on points. and at Light heavy no less.

since losing to bramer, he has gone 10-0 with 7 kos, winning the german belt in the process.

with his win over sipos, i think he has proven that he can still go places, considering his past performances and rather young age.

his current record is 23-7 with 15 kos.

id really like to see him fight guys like asikainen or sylvester again.

I would like to see him in action. Expecially the Sipos fight. Sounds like a good fighter.

good solid fighter.........not a top talent, but tough as nails.

him vs asikainen would be great. asikainen the superior but fragile talent, aramian the stocky infighter with a great chin.

could become a fringe contender imo.

Well, one has to remember that Brähmer was fresh out of jail for literally just a few days when he fought him, it was his first comeback fight, I wouldn't call that perfect preparation either. And he knocked Aramian down in the 4th.
Haven't seen him lately but he seems to have improved a bit. Sipos isn't much (there's a reason he was dropped by Sauerland) but no total pushover, good win.

universum wont let one of their cash cows go into a fight unprepared:nono

he may have been released from jail not long before, but he was in top shape im sure.

aramian on the other hand didnt have the advantage of such preparation.

and sipos proved his standing in his fight with asikainen.

When I say "literally" I mean "literally". The fight was in October 2005, he was released at the end of September 2005. I didn't say he was unprepared, he was allowed to train. Do you actually believe a guy who hasn't fought in three years is in "top shape" ? :huh I don't think so, he surely was in good physical condition but no training can replace the actual fights, especially for a guy like Brähmer who is famous for his lazy attitude in training.

Journeymen are usually in training all of the time because they are expected to be ready at any time on short notice. It's their job to be prepared when they get called.

German posters, is there any interest in Germany regarding a matchup between Abraham and Brahmer?
