Unless McCline loses his testicles on the way to the ring (a distinct possibility, given his history) he gives Peter all kinds of trouble and makes him look bad (just as every other B-Class fighter he's faced); however, barring a knockout, Peter will 'officially' win a decision.

He will not pull off the upset, but it wouldn't shock me one bit to see him be somewhat competitive and last the distance.

He may not be the best fighter, but he's no quitter.

Do some people still think Peter is actually in his mid-thirties, rather than mid-twenties? Did that rumor get ruled out?

I think he's 27 despite the fact that he looks older

I think it's irrelevant, either way he won't be a significant player for much longer

If his knee is fully healed then McCline takes this by decision. He is far more athletic and conditioned then Peter who was training to attempt to take Maskaev out in 3.

I like McCline by decision.:good

not to mention big time is a better boxer than peter, but jameel always finds a way to lose. so, i would go with peter by decision in this one.

Nah I do not think so man. I think he is gonna make it look easier then people are expecting. He does not have a glass jaw but his knee concerns me. If his knee holds up he will outbox peter to an easy decision.

:good Exactly...just like he easily beat Zuri Lawrence and Calvin Brock

well, losing to brock is excusable, but lawrence wtf?!?!?:patsch
imo further evidence that mccline can't get it done.

Yeah - in big fights, it's as if he always finds a way to lose.

Peter is obviously very flawed and beatable, but I doubt McCline is the guy to get the job done.

If Peter comes in at 360 lbs or more like the fight with Toney, Peter might be in for a tough night IMO

360 lbs or more like the fight with Toney

If Peter comes in at 360+ pounds, for the first two rounds, he would make Shannon Briggs look like Henry Armstrong and in the third round, he would die of a heart attack.

Well considering the fact that McCline is a world-class boxer who is fighting for the title for the 4th time I would hope that he can give Peter some trouble.

Anybody notice this?

If McCline loses he'll have unsuccessfully challenged for all 4 major belts in a span of 5 years.

'02 vs. Wlad (WBO) L
'04 vs. Byrd (IBF) L
'07 vs. Valuev (WBA) L
'07 vs. Peter (WBC) ?

it's stamina that i'm not convinced about with mcline-peter

peter as plodding as he is has created a decent jab and some better tighter hooks. and can go the distance due to not being overwieght (which drags) or underwieght(which weakens you)

jameel on the other hand has everything i think that will give peter trouble good combo's and speed and his abilty to out work fighters from the outside. what he did against byrd was very good. byrd totally getting outgunned and hustled then whoom....jameel ran out of steam and just got tagged more and more times by byrd 10 hit combo's were easy almost a damn near turkey shoot.

peter will get outworked and seemingly outboxed then will come back and finish mcCline off for a tko victory.

Good point. McCline will fold again. Technically he is quite good, but Peter has youth, power and an iron chin.

Yes, Mcline will be competitive for two rounds and then go into retreat mode, and then get stopped within 8 rounds. Hes a coward.

Peter will win a UD. Wlad would look good if McCline wins though, because he has defeated them both.

McGoofy is a turd and Peter's getting more crap than he deserves.

I'll be suprised if McCline makes the distance. :yikes if its competitive for more than 3 rounds. I believe it might well be an early night:good

McCline was having trouble with Rob Calloway & Zuri Lawrence, Peter should end this one by the middle rounds IMO.

If McCline can turn back the clock and fight like he did against Lance "Goofi" Whitaker he has a excellant chance. He also didn't look half bad against Briggs. Then on the other hand is the Wlad fight, ugh.

Peter might just be way overconfident, thinking he can actually box (based the he last fight with lard ass). Plus he conditioning just might suck.

I wouldn't rule McCline out.

Let's remember also that Robert Hawkins took Peter the distance and made him look bad. Toney was right there to be hit, Mccline is a mover and won't be.

I think Peter will ultimately knock him out, but McCline's hit and run style will make him look bad in the process.

Peter will catch him with something big in the middle rounds and TKO him, Mccline is a an ok fighter who doesnt really have alot of power for his size, Peter will have his way with Mccline throughout the fight and really show how he has improved over the last couple years.

 Loses his testes, at least Mccline has the nads to get into the ring with the beast which is more than i can say for Oleg,:bart who wanted no part of Peter, Mcclines height may give Peter problems, but i see Sam winning by late KO...

It's not going to be an early night but a long one for Jameel, he's gonna beat Peter alright - in his sprint to the canvas. Tina, please go out with your friend Tracy Byrd and come back very, very late that night, Jameel won't sense you coming in, guaranteed!
