Burns will fight Gary Sykes for the vacant BBBofC British super featherweight title on the 5th March

good fight, but he surely must be a little dissapointed going from world title shot to domestic title? Still, I think he would have lost and this might put him higher in the other org's rankings (I havent a clue how rankings work, but I would assume so)

Burns vs Martinez is a stupid fucking fight anyway. Burns has done NOTHING to earn a shot at any world title.

Boxing Scene just posted saying it's on but doesn't have anything to say other then it's on so again wouldn't read to much into it. Billy Nelson will be able to confirm what's going on anyways.

Billy can you give us some sort of update please we are all very supportive of Ricky on here and none of (apart from you) know what is happening.

Is Martinez fight off - can you tell us why?

Is Sykes fight on? What are you views on the fight if it is on?

Genuinely interested as keen to see Burns move up - think there might be another gear but if he stays where he is I feel he could stagnate and never reach his full potential

If this fight is on it's a good move for Burns.
Beating O'Hara & an ancient Gomez wouldn't have prepared him for the step up to world level, even if Martinez is as average as champs get.
