View Full Version : McBride and Golota weights
Has anyone got any pictures of the other fighters from the weigh-in? Peter and McCline look in decent shape, although Peter's definitely a bit heavy.
Apparently McBride is at a career-high 288! Golota's a decent weight at 241, but it sounds like McBride will be either even more fat than usual, or has been doing a lot of weight-lifting (remember he's upped his bench-press to 400-something). I'd like to see if McBride is in as terrible shape as he sounds, and Golota as good.

Havent seen picks but by all reports galota is in (as always) top shape and McBride as bulked up a little though still very soft..
Mcbride is slow as fuck so putting more weight on for this bout is a ridiculous tactics...
What has happened to heavyweight actually looking like athletes??
Rather than solid/fat club bouncers.

Golota shall inevitably school Kevin McBride.
If he can do it in two rounds then that'll put him on a level with... Mike Mollo... That should be a title shot in the bag then!

It looks like McBride might be working his way towards challenging Butterbean after Golata .Try as he might, Andrew will strive to find a way to lose, but big fat Kevin won't let him.
Will this bout be televised on Showtime?
NO, it won'y be televised! Showtime SUCKS! UNbelievable considering they are up against MAB-PAC. Why not show it? As I said... Showtime SUCKS!
I've read both that they will and that they won't televise, but they've got a three-hour show scheduled, so it probably depends on the length of the fights. They can't commit to show all three heavyweight bouts in case they all go the distance, because the timing would be too tight, but if there's a quick KO in the Golota-McBride fight then I would expect they'll show it.

So basically theres a chance that the might show it your saying...
Keep flooding Showtime with those emails requesting (demanding!) that they show the Golota fight.

Nice one mate: McBride looks like he's been training in the pub with that huge belly on him! It's not muscled like Sam Peter's either, just looks pretty fat. He looks soft around the neck and shoulders as well. What a shame he couldn't whip himself into better shape for such a great chance.
You can see Golota just staring at the belly, thinking how badly conditioned McBride must be. Golota himself looks in decent shape, not his prime, but that was years ago. I reckon he should score that knockout, although I don't rate him all that highly at this stage.

picture shows how huge mcbride is. it looks like he's got golota by a good 3 or 4 inches and golota's listed at 6'4 (he might be a bit under), but damn mcbride is tall. maybe he's got shoes on and golota doesn't.......

Sorry, I dont hang all over Ice Cube's long black anaconda like you. You are worse than the strippers who hang outside of the LA Lakers locker room, hoping to score some NBA DNA.

Funny, it looks like Golota is staring directly at McBride's gut like he's asking, "Damn, did you even train you fatass motherfucker?" lol
No he thinks: "damn how do I find his balls to hit?"

Is his bench press 400lbs of guiness?

McBride's mid-section is an embarrasment. Benching 400lbs. for a man that weighs nearly 300lbs (esp. between fights) is no significant achievement. For eg., I weigh 215 lbs and can comfortably bench 350lbs for multiple reps, which took me about 2 years to get to and I believe this is the norm and nothing really to brag about.
Golota is actually a punishing body -puncher ,although sometimes he hits too close to the belt line. McBride's beer swollen belly will most likely be reverberating and experiencing cramps, when hit. McBride's pre-fight claims that he was tranining harder than ever were obviously drunken lies, because the man is in the worst shape of his life. Props to Golota for coming in at about 238-240lbs for the fight, which is around his primetime weight. This man should write the book on how HW's ought to train and eat before a fight.
