This guy has been proving us wrong for too long now. He has dismantled some of the best the US has to offer, and still gets no respect. First he embarasses and schools the Super Middleweight Tyson....when nobody gave him a chance. Then he destroys the great Peter Manfredo. He did what Alfonso Gomez and Sergio Mora failed to in two attempts each and thats, Stop the Pride of Providence and silence the entire North Eastern US. So I ask; What does this guy need to do to crack the top 10 P4P lists here in the states??????

Looks like hes 8th in the ring's list, so guess hes already done enough.

He needs to fight a really good fighter, like Hopkins, Tito or Roy Jones. That's all

Hey what about guys like Jimenez, Pudwill, McIntyre, Ashira and Mkrchtrkrian. That should be easily enough for a P4P ranking.

In the eyes of the stupid Americans there's nothing Calzaghe can do to get the credit he deserves.

Watch as he'll actually move down in the PvP rankings after a win over Kessler saying Kessler wasnt elite opposition to begin with and he just took that fight to avoid Hopkins etc etc

Then he'll beat Hopkins and everyone will say he was too old, and that he only took that fight to avoid Froch/Bute ETC

If JC was American he would be PvP number 1, and would have been for years.

He will get massive respect if he beats Kessler. Then he only needs to fight Hopkins or Jones I guess.

why jones? the bloke is shot to pieces, i really don't see why people want this fight. i have no doubt in my mind that prime jones would have beaten joe, but today it would be a horrible one sided beating with calzaghe coming out the winner.

dawson and hopkins are who cazlaghe should go after if he gets past kessler.

If Calzaghe beats Kessler fair and square I will rank him as a P4P Top10 and the greatest SMW ever. But if he loses, which I think he will, I wont rank him anywhere near the Top 10 and never as the best SMW (Kessler).

Absolute idiotic joke post considering he's taking on the boxer who has the highest chance of beating him at 168 in a few weeks time.

Get over it.

...the great Peter Manfredo.

That one is truly hysterical.

I hear ya. Honestly I don't know enough about Joe to say much (but that in itself should say something since the man has been champ for 10 years). I can't find shit for footage of him, but I figure that's ******'s fault. A poster the other day gave me a link to a couple of his fights (Bika and Mitchell, Mitchell I had seen round 2 on youtube) but not enough still to know what's all the rave with this cat.:deal

Bika is on this season of the contender. Calzaghe has had plenty of chances to fight the best, but hasn't. Why wouldn't he come to the states to fight???

My guess is his manager decided that one. I figure many americans would actually like his "bar-fight"-style of boxing.
