Ryan Bader vs. Keith Jardine
Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic vs. Anthony Perosh

PRELIMINARY CARD

Really looking forward to the Georgi - Stevenson fight.

But, the whole bill is stacked; a lot of high quality match-ups in there.

C'mon Big Nog!

Bit of a bloodbath at the end there. Perosh had a lot of guts for a guy who was totally outclassed.

Not vintage Mirko, but I'm happy with it.

As a Cro-Cop fan, I still wish he would hang it up. The speed isn't there..and this guy shouldn't have gone that long with him. A win is a win..but still not great..

Beebs

Bader is pretty dominant so far.

Just stood them up from half-guard, that is absurd.

Grievesy
02-20-2010, 10:49 PM
Cro Cop was dominant, but against a guy of Perosh's calibre it's no surprise. I expected Cro Cop to finish it earlier really. Something's just not there with him and he's not really enjoyable to watch anymore. He should probably retire.

Lytle with a rolling kneebar! Shame that Foster is hurt, he looks like a spectacular prospect. Great for Lytle though, saw him a few times in Indy.

Ah well, George Sotiropoulos deserved to win on the basis of the first round.

I'd love to see Bis get the Henderson treatment tonight. But Wanderlei is pretty washed up, so he might just get outworked. Either way, it should be interesting.

Just not the same Wanderlei to me anymore....he looks like a freak. And in a bad way.

The reconstructive surgery made his nose look different.. The dieting, he has virtually no fat on his face.. You see there is no fat around his eyes.. Unless they did some other work to his face, it looks like the dieting did that to him in part. He's just a heavily muscled guy.

Bisping is a dope. You KNOW the flurry is coming in the last 20 seconds, how can you not be prepared for it? Sad. At the same time though, That was a great great moment for Wanderlei. Nothing but joy for the guy.

And while I'm here, Gotta say that George Sotiropolous really impressed me. Joe Stevenson is no joke and Stevenson is the ultimate gate keeper towards LW relevance. Can't wait to see more of Sotiropolous.

Silva would have had Bisping out way earlier if he had gone nuts like in the old days.

If this fight were contested under Pride rules - Wanderlai would have stopped Bisping at the end of the third round. He stopped himself from throwing the left head kick after Bisping fell down. He pulled the kick and switched to his punches giving Bisping a second to defend himself from his back.

All of the big punchers are at LHW. He's pretty much stuck at MW because I doubt his chin can take punches from the likes of Machida, Lil Nog, Shogun, Rashad and Rampage anymore.

At MW he can be at least competitive against guys like Bisping, Chael Sonnen, Maia and Sexyama. Just keep the dude away from Anderson Silva for the love of god.

If this fight were contested under Pride rules - Wanderlai would have stopped Bisping at the end of the third round. He stopped himself from throwing the right head kick after Bisping fell down. He pulled the kick and switched to his punches giving Bisping a second to defend himself from his back.

Yeah, I saw a couple times when he went to throw the soccer kick and pulled back. There's no doubt he would have put that fight away kick under Pride rules.

I picked Nog by old man choke but I think Cain could shock a bunch of people today. His wrestling is very good, his work rate was top notch and you never know when the dreaded "age" factor is going to poke its way into something.

I'm expecting a great fight ending with an old man choke.

Nog is a submission master. He won't quit trying to lock in the submission until he catches Cain with something. At one time he had the most active - offensive guard in the game.
