Anyone think this is one of Joe's more underrated performances? Quite a slugfest.

He threw a left hook in the 4th round I think.... It seems Quarry went to sleep and then woke up almost instantly.

Joe Frazier was a monster, the kind that would eat the lazy heavyweights of today.

Joe Frazier was a monster, the kind that would eat the lazy heavyweights of today.:yikes that bit when quarry's face and head and body just seems to stop then he starts bouncing again...what a chin but what a hook by frazier.

i hate how everyone sits on him on this forum. he had som e amazing wins and could out work nearly anyone.

Damn how did quarry not go down from that first punch.Frazier was for sure a monster,what makes me laugh though,is in that first fight they showed the ref let the guy after he got back up go on lol,when you see how fast they stop fights now,ilke in the JC and manfredo jnr fight fairly recently,it shows you how much harder things were back then.

Jerry's body had softened up by the second Frazier fight but he still had that solid jaw. Joe was just made of a physically stronger steel then Jerry, you saw that in their first great fight. Jerry will always be one of my all time fav's.

Frazier is just one of those fighters that Quarry will never beat. Both were a bit past it, but Frazier looked better than he ever did post-FOTC. I thought Joe Louis was a pretty negligent referee by the way. Looked like he didn't see half of the stuff or something. Was that his last referee job?

That left hook Frazier hit him with was one of the nastiest I've ever seen.

This was probably Frazier's best performance since the first Ali fight- either this or the Thrilla in Manila.

I hope. Louis did a horrible job.
