by not having their belt represented in the Calzaghe - Kessler showdown

i know they already have almost no credibility, but now they have even less

wbo imo has gained alot of credibility.

wbc is a popularity contest.

wba is still numero uno, exept that sometimes they have like 3 champions in the same divsion (cruiserweight)

wbc has always had the most luster out of the abc's.

WBA is horsecrap....isn't Kid Diamond supposed to be getting a shot at the "regular" lightweight title?

The IBF gets credit for putting together the heavyweight #1 contender tourney.

The green belt has the most prestige, although it too is garbage

Let me guess, you think WBO is the best of the ABCs, right?

WBO is a huge step up from NABF and is in the same league as WBC, WBA, and IBF

How is it their fault that Calzaghe refused to face their mandatory in favor of a 'contender' star? There are a lot of things to bash the IBF for, but stripping Joe of their title is not one of them.

I genuinely believe that the only reason the wbc is widely considered the most legit is because it stands out the most with it s greeness. Somebody should release a flourescent pink belt with polka dots and sparkle dust. It would surely be the best of the abc belts! :good

The IBF are probably just being fair and not letting fighters keep the belts or miss mandatrys because of TV and money.

That said though the IBF's rankings are terrible.

Have you seen the WBC womens belt? It's shaped like a flower.:D

I like the IBF better though because It's red but the WBA has red and black which Is even cooler.:D

you're right, I dont think they are to blame per say, i just think that they are losing credibility by not having their belt represented in this mega showdown.

Letting Judah keep the IBF belt and fight for it against Mayweather after being humiliated by Baldomir is another cred killer for the IBF.

well that wasn't IBF's fault really. Baldomir didn't pay the sanctioning fee so the IBF strap wasn't on the line.

Yeah we all know the sanctioning fee story but at the very least they should have vacateded the belt.

Letting him keep it was a disgrace.

The closest thing to a Lineal title is the Ring belt.

Not anymore, considering it is now owned by a promotor/boxer.

Btw, Asterion are you from Brazil by any chance?

i don't think any of the fans would mind if the guy that is mandatory is worthy of his place.

but stieglitz was just a european level fighter and couldn't even win the vacant title. :patsch

when the wbc had lennox lewis at no1 back when he beat ruddock he was a deserving case.

hence the reason everyone still hate bowe for throwing his belt in the trash can.

rant over. :yep

yeah but it should have been made vacant.

u don't just give it back to a guy who has lost his last fight. :patsch

ring wbo wba wbc ibf

OK, I didn't count the ring. I was afraid you were talking about the IBO.

In my eyes there are only three abc's worth anything, the WBC, WBA and IBF. And even those three are pretty worthless.

They all suck and should not be taken into consideration.

The Lineal Title is everything.

Can we bash them for having Stieglitz as number one contender?

When Calzaghe signed for the Lacy (IBF Champ) fight, in order for the IBF to sanction it, Calzaghe had to agree that he would do the IBF mandatory (which was due) in his NEXT fight. He decided not to, so they rightfully stripped him. Why is that a problem?
