Not sure honestly. When PBF sits down on his punches, we have seen him stun WW. Except Baldomir of course.

Pacman's style is based on him sitting down on his punches, so we know his true power.

Hard to tell, even with PBF being larger.

On a punching scale, probably Floyd.

But in the ring, Pac.

Floyd.

Lostmykeys

Watch Pac & Floyd's workout video on the Heavy Bag. Pac defenitely Hits Harder.

Floyd Mayweather Jr., he's alot bigger than Pacman.

Roach said Pac has more Pop than DLH. DLH has more Pop than PBF. Roach also trained Tyson & he said Pac hits Harder p4p than Tyson.

I think Floyd's right hand is definately stronger than Pacs left but for the other punches i don't know.

Pac hits harder than Foreman in his prime.

On a punching scale, probably Floyd.

But in the ring, Pac.Patsys: What do I do?

Patsys’ Brain: Just think “Pac KO 1”… and say doh!

Scar
10-06-2007, 04:35 PM
Pacman of course.

10-06-2007, 04:42 PM
The weight difference isn't so vast actually, Floyd comes in to the ring at around 148 while Pac comes in at around 140, I would have to say pac.

Saying that Pac does have more power than PBF... not P4P; I mean literally… even at welterweight.

If Floyd put his hips and shoulders into his punches then he could but he'd hurt his hands so he doesn't do that much.

Jinx
10-06-2007, 05:06 PM
PBF at 130 had more power than Pac, so obviously PBF at 147 has more power...

it must be floyd, he is the bigger man.
p4p its pac.

aramini

raw one punch power I think Pac has slightly more. But he is so much worse with placement and timing that Floyd can do more with less. Pac is physically a beast. Floyd is a great puncher without heavy hands, Pac is a technically flawed puncher with both fast and heavy hands.

However, having said that, the real power of Pac comes from that swarming attack and speed rather than one punch power like, say, Juarez or Hamed. I bet both Hamed and Juarez hit harder than Pac AND harder than Floyd, but they are so much slower (in the case of Juarez) and technically unskilled (in the case of Hamed) that Pac has a more adaptable offense.

Pac is a huge 130, cutting alot of weight to get their for only as long as it takes to get on a scale. Floyd is a small 147, usually not cutting much or any weight. The actual size difference is not that big, maybe 5-10 lbs.

Charles187
10-06-2007, 06:45 PM
PBF at 130 had more power than Pac, so obviously PBF at 147 has more power...

lol - cant really see it!

what do they both come in at fight night?

it obvioulsy is not that clear a decision, pacman commits to his punches and floyd doesnt. and on top of that pacman is a much harder puncher p4p.

Beebs
10-07-2007, 05:45 PM
Pac came into the fight last night at 144, do people still want to argue that "Floyd is so much bigger"?

Toopretty
10-07-2007, 06:14 PM
Floyd hits harder..Pac is only 7 pounds underneath him. But Floyd does not have the POP effect that Pacman has.Pac is mainly pop his snap in his punch is what gets guys out of there. Not raw power like say a pavlik. Pac has a whole lot of snap in the end of his punches. Floyd is a stronger puncher with no comparison.

The question that keeps me occupied is who has a better chin? Pacman or Peter?

ask yourself this. can pacman stun oscar de la hoya like floyd did? oscar de la hoya has a granite chin, he took shots from sugar shane and didn't flinch.

That was skeletor not DLH.

Roach "I seen the blood on his arms from IV lines on fight night and I knew that we got him weight drained enough that he would pose no threat, Its too bad that we didnt get the Shane fight at 142 so we could have done the same to him and that Money May destroyed Shane legitly at 147 which of course makes Pac look like a pussy"

Floyd hits harder.
Pacquiao P4P.

Although Mayweather had a fair bit of power at 130lbs himself.

if floyd hits harder than pacquiao, miguel cotto has a better chin than floyd.

Pacman at 147 and P4P. I always thought that was one of Manny's advantages.

Pacman of course.

Let's see Pac stop somebody that doesn't have a recent KO in his past.

Was this response to my comment?

When I say Floyd hits harder, thats the Floyd at 147lbs, compared to the Pacquiao at 130lbs. Pacquiao is P4P the harder puncher. :good

Pac at 130.

With their common opponents - JMM, DLH and Hatton, I think we already know who hits harder. And that could be the reason why Floyd is avoiding Pac.

But thats not the question...Pacquiao is the harder puncher.

Mayweather at 147lbs,
or,
Pacquiao at 130lbs,

Who hits harder?

Why need to compare each power at different class when we have them at welter? Mayweather could past Pacquiao at 130lbs, but now at 147lbs I say Pac could be meaner than Floyd.

what you have to remeber is, pacman fought oscar and hatton with 8 oz gloves, may fought both with ten oz

hatton nearly got knocked out by lazcano who was a former lightweight with hardly any pop and was saved ten count when the ref made the corner tie his shoes.

overall i would say floyds right hand is harder then pacs left.

not sure about the other punches
