he has a LOT of work to do. A very uninspiring performance tonight. His great chin was seriously questioned, although he did show some guts in staying in there. He fought a much better second half but if he fought like he did in the first half against any top 5 guy, he wouldn't make it out. He has potential, but still looks like a rookie in many ways.

You don't get to that level without "heart" but his skill's are suspect to say the least

Your right just ask Peter. He'll be the first to tell you that. Remember, he didn't get KD he slipped on the ring advertisement!

Peter does have a great chin, which has already proven. It isn't like he is a god who simply can't be hurt. Every human being on this hurt can be hurt, or even knocked out cold. This is a learning process for Peter. Getting hurt in this fight doesn't erase Peter showing the sort of shot that he can take, as he has in the past. Also, it really showed his great conditioning, as he was able to overcome being seriously hurt, and finish so strong.

When you hit Peter flush with the punch he can see his chin is great but just like anybody else if you catch him when he does not expect it he is as vulnerable as anyone. Wladimirs left hook in the 12th round was really the only punch that Sam never saw coming and he was wobbled.

NEVER did I offer a lifetime bet. After tonight's performance, I can honestly say he would lose unless he improves on a few things in a hurry. How's that?
You see... I am what's called a GOOD FAN. I can openly admit my guy's faults and be unbiased. Not many of us here though. :yep

The thing that shocked me most tonight was Sam being hurt. I guess you could say he had 10 days to prepare for the guy and din't see the shots coming but still. I have seen Sam take shots like those and continue coming forward. Perhpas McCline had more power than we thought?

This fight was almost indentical to the fight Wlad fought against Peter 2 years ago, Wlad was floored 3 times and so was Peter, Wlad ended up winning by UD and Peter came back to win by UD. Peter showed heart and a good jab, thats about it.

I was rooting for McCline tonight....but I never expected Peter to go down 3 times....hell, had McCline not gassed he might have ended Peter......I was shocked as well

IMO the punishment he took against Klitschko got its toll ala Mayorga against Trinidad.

Wlad would TKO Peter in the re-match. Haha, Sweedone ( AKA King Klitschko hater ) needs to find a new hope.

You must have me mistaken with other "fans". I still love the guy and even though he has significant flaws, he does bring some excitement to the HW division. And now that I know he can be knocked down, he is even more intriguing! :good

No... I don't abandon my guys at their first sign of non-perfetion. And better yet, I can actually admit that my guys have faults. Third, it's not Klitschko I hate, it's his biased, "bad fans" that I can't deal with.
Ohh and lastly, spell my name correctly next time. It's right there in front of you in my posts so, no excuses. :hi:

swede, I know you're a great Peter fan.
But seriously, McCline is the peoples WBC holder now :deal
Don King can help him keep his belt, but we know what happened last night, it's going to stick with them forever, Don King should die and free boxing from his evil domination.
Congratulations to McCline, the new WBC champion in my eyes.:thumbsup

Magic... I respect your opinions bigtime. But are you inferring that Don King fixed the cards last night? He is crooked, no doubt, but... Peter won virtually every other round besides the 2nd and 3rd last night. He did win a close decision. I had it 2 points. :yep

So Swedone,
Who is your next hope to beat Klitschko? Please do tell. :hi: Saying I hate fighters fans is a smokescreen for I can’t stand the fighter.
Fans are fans. If you can’t take the Klitschko talk around here, why do you stick around? Ah yes. You’re waiting for your next hope to beat him to celebrate. The trouble is Wlad beat both of them recently in Peter and Brewster.

Wlad should rule this division. There is NO ONE to challenege him. I thought Peter could, but after last night, I have changed my tune and realize he is still very green. And you are dead wrong on me. I don't hate Wlad, I can't stand the 90% of his fans that cannot admit he has faults like every other guy out there. Being a GOOD fan means being hoinest with your guys plusses and minuses. Most Wlad fans simply can't do the last one. Period.

McCline could have finished him, but didn't. McCline doesn't have much fight in him and that is why Peter survived. It is not hard to understand why some people thought McCline had won, at times he was clearly giving Peter a boxing lesson. Considering he will now have to fight higer level opponents, Peter is going to get a few more boxing lessons. I don't expect him to be in possesion of that belt for very long.

One thing Peter is not is humble, or truthful for that matter. He's lying to himslef if he really believes he's the Champion right now.

Hey, delusions are common in boxing! Sam Peter didn't invent them.
