Ah, fruition.

Rob Calloway methodically took apart Galen Brown in the "Talk is Over 2" card Saturday night, scoring a fourth-round technical knockout.

The victory, in front of about 3,050 fans at Civic Arena, was Calloway's 72nd in 80 professional bouts - and his 10th straight. Brown is 29-5-1.

Before the fight, 26-year-old Brown crouched in the blue corner and leaned his head down. In his simple black trunks - labeled "Bad Boy" across the belt - he stood and wandered while waiting.

The crowd chanted, and Calloway made a slow, deliberate entrance. The 38-year-old Calloway, who goes by "The All-American Prizefighter," wore red, white and blue striped trunks with white stars down the legs.

Brown sat back and let Calloway dictate the pace as the fight opened. Calloway repeatedly darted in, landing his right. The first two times, Brown smiled after taking the punches.

Even if he smiled, Brown's action showed he was leery of Calloway's big right hand. Brown kept his back to the ropes and always danced backward as Calloway advanced.

The fight kept that pace until the fourth round. By then, Calloway kept maneuvering Brown into the ropes and the corners. When Calloway positioned Brown into a corner, he dropped Brown with one right.

Brown took the count on his knees and stood. But it was just seconds before he was back on the ropes, and Calloway then had Brown back in the same corner. Calloway launched a left to the head and followed with a body blow that floored Brown again.

what a shame that Audley, 6ft6 and 260lbs, beating a cruiserweight journeyman counts as the pinnacle of his career. Shit the fact that someone as big as Audley took 9 rounds to stop Calloway is embarassing.

My bad, but to be honest it felt like it lasted 9 rounds to me. Time drags when your watching Audley Harrison.

Learn to let go. Learn to accept that Audley isnt going anywhere with his career. It isn't your fault. It isn't even his fault. He just didn't have the bottle for the pro game.
