It's good to see a legend know when it's time to leave and he pick the best person to do it against.
Thank you for all the great fights that have you bleed for us in the ring.
Turning pro at age of 15 he had an amature record of (56-4), and was a 5 time Mexican national champion. He then went on to become a 3 time champion with a record of 63-6 (42-ko's).
Mexican Super Flyweight Chamipon 92'-93'
NABF Super Flyweight Champion 93'
WBO Jr. Featherweight Champion 95'-96'
WBO Jr. Featherweight Champion 98'-00'
WBO Jr. Featherweight Champion 00'-01' Rewarded belt after losing to Erik Morales
WBC Featherweight 02' Barrera immediately refuses and vacants title
WBC Super Featherweight Champion 04'-07'
IBF Super Featherweight Champion 04'-06'
His great fights with Kennedy McKinney (knocking him down 5 times), Junior Jones (his frist shocking tko loss and 2nd loss on points), stopping Jesus Salud, Erique Sanchez, and Robbie Peden. Schooling Prince Hamed, his amazing wars with Morales, and his dominate performances over Johnny Tapia, and Kevin Kelly, Paula Ayala, Rocky Juarez, and Mzonke Fana.
A TRUE MEXCIAN LEGEND IN AND OUT THE RING.
The ring will miss "The Baby Face Assassin".
Enjoy the rest of your life as you ride off into the sunset:hail :bbb

I always wonder who will step-up, or out the shadows for every Champion or Ledgen that leaves the ring?
Do they ever live up to the glories of champions past?

Boxing legend. One of the big 3 of his era behind Roy Jones and Felix Trinidad.

A true privilege to have seen him live in many of his great battles.

All Time Great, Hall of Famer, and one of Mexico's greatest boxers. What a legend.

He will be missed.

I completely agree.

Here's to ya, Marco. Great fighter, great father, and an ATG in his own right. I'm gonna miss this guy.

It's sad to think that he's actually gone.

The Hamed fight was one of my favorite boxing outcomes of the decade.

Long live MAB!!!
