Yeah this thread should be moved. Toney is being really idiotic and doesn't know what he's getting himself into. He couldn't even take making weight in boxing seriously, how the hell is he going to take fighting on the ground seriously. I like Toney but he shoud've hung up his gloves after the second Peter fight and enjoy his life in comfort. The risk of getting embarrased is too huge for him in MMA and yes, Lesnar would kill Toney because 1) he takes this MMA shit seriously and 2) he had a wrestling backround so it was easier for him to merge into MMA.

I think all the fat in his head is stopping the bloodflow to his brain resulting in him making bad decisions.

If the fight goes to the ground it's over for Toney, but if it stays in the air for more than 5 or 6 seconds. Brock's chin gets shattered. While Toney is a novice in every other form of fighting, he will always have a punch and granite chin, which is something that can't be said for 90% of the UFC fighters competing today.

On a serious note, we may be seeing the effects of brain damage.
One of the effects is depression and mania. He keeps calling out people and then looks like complete crap in the ring. It is like he is not connected to reality.

I don't think any championship UFC guy will try that. Mercer killed that noise.
I only see a couple of feints and then a bull rush in the cards for any quality boxer going to UFC.

Standing up, yes but Lesnar does the same shit over and over. Knocks the guy down and pummels him with hammerfists. I don't think that goes well with Toney but hey maybe Toney catches him with an uppercut but either way Toney should just back out while he has a chance.

Lesnar would likely win, he is a pro, and he is in great shape (Unlike Toney) , I'm sick of seeing old and out of shape boxers fight in the UFC.

I don't know about Brock's chin getting shattered, I believe his chin is more than likely granite

I’m the heavyweight champion of the world - James Toney.

before Toney takes this fight, he better take a look at Hogan/Lesnar. That Lesnar is for real brother.

Lesnar is a wrestler. Toney's going down.

Ignoring Toney’s non-existent MMA resume, he naturally fights around 210 lbs. which would put him at a severe disadvantage were he to step inside the octagon against any top UFC heavyweight, never mind Lesnar who tends to show up well north of 280lbs. on fight night
If they think James Toney can't achieve 280lbs, they don't know James Toney....

I heard Couture/Toney is moments away from being signed.

I agree no UFC fighter will try n box him. They have more sense! If they thought they could box and win against a boxer they'd cross over into boxing were the money is FAR GREATER!! I mean at world level anyway. They know they cant, but on the flipside most boxers with a fully functioning brain would realise that they will get taken down and choked out or submitted with an arm bar or similar. A boxer on the ground is useless. Toney if he continues with this idea of going into MMA will be quickly humiliated unless there's some dodgy deals going on to keep it on their feet striking. Toney isn't even a noted puncher - especially at heavyweight.
The real and only reason Toney or any boxer goes over to MMA is because they want money and even though it pays less they foolishly think they can do well. They also despite what they say realise their best days as boxer are over. Who has done well so far?? Mercer got Tim Syliva out with one punch...but he also got choked out by a street fighter in his first go! I would like to see Toney do well if he does cross over but I really cant see it. Just like if any MMA came over to boxing they'd not even get past journeyman stage. In a boxing ring ALL MMA guys would be bums or C level at the very best. This is truly the classic apples vs oranges senario.

I love these threads...
For starters, Toney is not, and never was a one punch KO artist. I'm not sure why anybody distorts the facts and somehow imagines Toney with the power of Lennox or even Ray Mercer for that matter.
Suppose he lands one or two on Lesnar, I don't see Lesnar going anywhere. It's not as though Brock has a china chin.
Toney out in less than one round.
