The Heavyweight division is competitive and Peter still has some good fights left in him. Is McCline a beast, NO, but he landed a good uppercut that the green Peter was open to. Peter has good power but is not the next wonder, still a fight with Oleg would be interesting even more NOW. Problem with the Heavys today is for one>>PETER can lose 30LBs and still be big and fitter. McCline can punch, just that he did not always have an open target that Peter gave him. Peter looked like the Gift he was givin OUTSIDE the ring (title) is easier to KEEP. Still both men were fit but could have dropped about 60 lbs between them...J.J. Walcott would have pinpoint punched PETER into oblivion last night but you will see guys fighting Peter a lot different then they did in the past... Alexander Povetikin may be ready for Peter if he gets Past HOLY. McCline could have been Champ if he had finishing skills

Why Holyfield - it's Byrd, then Chambers/Brock...

you r right, Byrd and if he gets past Byrd, he could fight the Peter/Maskaev winner...None of these guys are unbeatable...Vlad will be the hardest

Haven't you read that Peter broke his left hand?

So first up should be Maskaev vs. Klitschko in January...if not Peter's hand, out of nowhere, will be healed up...

Thats always an excuse,BROKEN HAND,Injury, Peter was throwing both hands well. Vitali needs a tune up before fighting a top 10 to get 3 years rust off of him, then fight the winner...Vitali throws a a good uppercut

Vitali may only have one good fight left in him - so fight for the title, immediately...

I'm going to be able to watch the fight in a few hours, so i can't really comment on it. But i think McCline is quite a decent fighter, a bit underrated. Good skills, very durable and power but not much agression/finishing skills. He knocked Brock down and was the first to knock Briggs down in a 10 years stretch or so, and now Peter. I do wonder how he managed to lose all those rounds so that Peter got the decision, though. He's aging a bit, but still.

he ran out of steam, breathing heavy, I think the weight is too much but Peter was fat also

Any guy with 30 fights has been around for too long to be considered "green"

Foreman was raw and green after 30 fights and Peter is very green around the edges, his aggression makes up for his lack of skill, Tex Cobb was green until his last fight.....there are green 4 round fighters and there are green 12 round fighters...Peter would have been slaughtered vs a sharpshooter like Joe Louis or Jersey Joe Walcott
