My friend is an an amature MMA champ. He is 18. He can't get a fight because people back out when they hear his name. We are the same siaze but he fights in a few eight classes because he couldn't get a title defense, no-one would fight him.

When I trained boxing, I got good fast and was beating guys who have done it for 10 year, well not boxed for 10 years, boxed for 5, other forms or MA for another 5 years.

I know of guys just starting and getting really good fast. I feel I am one of them due to my work ethic and I pick things up REALLY fast.

Anyone, I told him if he is not pro in 18 months that I want to fight him even though that may be my first fight. He is the baddest dude out there and to be honest it would be an honor to fight him.

I have better hands and just need to work on the rest. I have abeeter gym and I work out harder. We HAD the same coach for stand up so he can't throw anything I have not been taught or seen. That and his new stand up coach is a student of our former coach.

I am not making a career out of this MMA. I just want to have a few fights. I am sure you guys understand why I want to fight him.
The rules in the org are like this no GDP too the head, and I think you wear head gear and shit pads. It's just like any AM fight. So, if I lose I won't be pounded, either ko'd or subbed.

Am I nuts or is this something that is normal and even doable?

So you can only box and want to fight against an MMA fighter under MMA rules? VERY unlikely you'll win.

I have trained mma and know BJJ. It' not about winning. I just want to fight him to be honest. He is cool as fuck but his rep is what makes me want to fight him. I am not going to ahve many MMA fights, whyfight regular dudes and win or lose when you can fight the man. I am 28 and my mma career will be short but at the end I can say I fougght the best guy out there (in th the am)

Just spar with him since you know him well enough. You will humiliate yourself in a real fight.

p.s. Learn to type better. lol

I'd have him as my sparring partner rather than my first fight. If he's the baddest bloke out there and you need to train for MMA, who better to train with?

WTF? You consider it an honor to have this guy bash your face in?

you might get more respect having him as a sparring partner, think about it, you are the guy who helps a baaad mofo train, you are the only one with enough guts to step into the ring with him day in day out.
