For all the armchair-promoting directed at Strikeforce, it’s getting harder to find fault with some of the cards being assembled. (Get past Herschel Walker ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) if you have to, but January’s Nick Diaz ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) vs. Marius Zaromskis ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) fight was worth whatever Showtime charged you.)
With Roger Gracie ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) telling Graciemag.com -- noticed by USAToday.com -- that he’s scheduled to fight Kevin Randleman ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) on May 15, that program’s heavyweight line-up is getting generous. Alistair Overeem ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) is slated to fight Brett Rogers ([Only registered and activated users can see links]); Andrei Arlovski ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) and Antonio Silva ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) will appear on the undercard. Fedor Emelianenko ([Only registered and activated users can see links])’s fall/winter 2011 opponent is more than likely somewhere on that list.
At 2-0, Gracie is nowhere near that scene, but he displayed what he could do against a monolith wrestler in Ron Waterman ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) back in 2006. Randleman, dangerous when he chooses to be, may indicate how Gracie reacts to real violence in the ring. And after the disappointment of Rolles Gracie ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) in the UFC and the disappearance of Daniel Gracie ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) from competition, how far a heavyweight from that family can go is still an open discussion.
Kevins my boy but im not really sure what to make of this. Kevin is completely shot. :|
