This might just be the heavyweight fight of the year if the white wolf isn't totally shot, im serious.

As long as the rules are enforced, Lyakhovich will beat that cheating clubfighter up and knock him the f*ck out. :nod
Hopefully, that disgrace to the sport will get starched inside half a minute like he did against Tua. Now that would be NICE!! :happy :happy

No, thats doubtful. Ruiz is gonna hug him til he cries, then hug him some more to make him feel a little better.
Don't hate on him because he's shown himself to be the best heavyweight of the current crop. His resume speaks for itself. :bart

Puh-leez. The only thing Ruiz is "best" at is violating the rules, and getting away with it. Of course, having King in his corner helped - notice how he hasn't won a fight since "The Don" dumped him??
Oh, and Ruiz is one of the best at hamming it up when hit with body shots to force bogus "low blow" calls!
I love how people talk about this talentless palooka's "resume," and ignore that he cheated against most of the recognizible names he fought - and when he didn't, he LOST!! :nod

Funny, if they used those "Rules" Holyfield would have been fucked for his Headbutting.

Funny, if they used those "Rules" Holyfield would have been fucked for his Headbutting.
To the extent that Holyfield headbutted INTENTIONALLY - which is WAY exagerrated - he used it occasionally to supplement his world class boxing ability.
That it is quite different from Ruiz CONSTANTLY and REPEATEDLY holding excessively or faking "low blows" to make up for his LACK of world class boxing ability.:yep
I really don't see how some of you guys can't grasp that there is a major difference between fighters who had actual ABILITY to compete at the world class level bending the rules occasionally to supplement their abilities - and Ruiz, who broke them constantly, because he had none.

Holyfield holding and headbutting was more effective than his gloves were. Ask Rahman. Or any other person whom made the mistake of not acknowledging the awesomeness of Holyfields dome.

Sergei's trainer says all the talk is bull, all Don King's doing. He says King wants both of his own guys to fight, he'll have a warm-up fight, and then fight Valuev (sp?) Jan 19TH in Germany...

^^^^^ He's right...........I once tried to get a autograph off him and he almost headbutted me !
:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl
Even I have to admit that's pretty damn funny! :good
But seriously, guys - let's not compare true world class fighters like Holyfield who bend the rules now and then to talentless hacks like Ruiz who do it all the time because they can't compete otherwise.
The only other instance I can recall of a fighter faking a "low blow" to "win" a fight, besides Ruiz, was Luis Santana against Terry Norris. And he did it for the same reason Ruiz did - he didn't have the ability to win otherwise.:yep
Not only is that shameful - it's bad for the sport. :fire

Yeah baby can't wait to see Ruiz lose and have his record against Eastern European fighters fall to 1-4 with the lone victory being against a ukranian journeyman.

I hate Ruiz style and his back of the head punches are almost as bad as Sam Peter....tough clash vs the wolf who goes to the body well in a normal fight, got spooked (hurt early) vs Briggs and never really recovered

If this fight gets televised and on PPV, someone will be shot and whoever pays should be lobotomized - "The Quiet hairy Men" Ruiz and "The White Wolf" Lyakhovich for f*** sake?!

It's gonna be an ugly fight any way u cut it. With Sergei's ring rust and Ruiz being Ruiz u can be sure that this fight will do nothing to help elevate boxing's profile.
Man, Ruiz fights everyone. He don't duck no man.

If the rules are enforced, that glorified clubfighter can't beat ANY world class fighter.:-(
Notice how he hasn't won a fight since King dumped him?? Interesting, isn't it. Without King, you're seeing the real Ruiz - as limited as they come! :nod
The white wolf is a great inside fighter, he knows Ruiz's tactics and should show up prepared.

Ruiz is a shit dirty fighter for sure and Holyfield is too. The difference is Holyfield was actually a great fighter who won more due to his boxing skills than his cheating - while Ruiz is a great cheater who won his fights more due to his cheating and the judges bad decisions than his boxing skills.

Exactly. :nod There is a difference between using such tactics as a SUPPLEMENT to actual world class boxing skills, and using them to make up for the LACK of them.

How there are fans that can cheer this fraud when he disgraced the sport REPEATEDLY, not only cheating his opponents of their rightful opportunity to win WITHIN the rules, but cheating the fans of their right to see the legitimate boxing matches they PAID to see is beyond me.
Without King, Ruiz would have been lucky to win a regional title - he wouldn't have even sniffed contention, let alone "won" world title bouts. THe Ruiz Fraud is one of the most blatant examples of corruption I've seen in my thirty years of following the sport. Utterly disgraceful! :fire
