Barrera acheived his goal last night. He can finally tell the Mexican people that he is better than Morales. Per MAB, see I did not get knocked out like "El Terrible", I am still the undisputed greatest Mexican boxer ever, period! :happy

I'm not sure how to take this...:patsch

I think taking 2/3 from El Terrible is proof enough MAB is better.

Barrera is the better fighter, and will be regarded by history that way. :nod

Barrera goal was revenge, instead he delivered survival package.
If he beat PAC yesterday he would become the best Mexico fighter ever.

It would have taken more than that to pass Chavez....and I still think Lopez was better than him and Sanchez.

Barrera has a sterling resume and deserves all the plaudits he has and will receive, but last night reinforced for me why as a fan I prefer Morales over him.

My feelings exactly. I don't know how it plays out for the Mexican fans, but my gut feeling tells me that EM has way more fans than MAB and that it's something that eats away at MAB. Perhaps a little humility would go a long way in fixing that, but it's too late.

No, Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales will go down in history right next to each other.

I truly don't see why some people hold Barrera above Morales. They both have similar resumes, MAB has two wins over Morales and EM has two wins against the men that beat Barrera twice.

A lot of that came from the HBO hype machine that put Barrera in front of Morales. And from a Mexican stand point everybody is a fan of both EM and MAB, Mexicans always give their full support to their great fighters.

I love these two fighters and diminishing one or the other without a good justification just pisses me off.
