Thats actually some top veterans in there. It be interesting to see how the new prospects do in there, if anyone else other than Smith, soliman & eastman wins it you know they could be something special.

The article said the heavyweight group will consist of "16 hungry heavyweights". I hope they don't mean hungry as in Kirk Johnson and James Toney!

Sorry for the bad pun. ;)

Very true. Anyone who is able to win a tournament that includes those three is definitley worth looking at.

Can't wait for the Heavyweight version of "contender".Considering whats around in the division, it should be hilarious. The network that runs the show better have plenty of jog bras handy, because all of those soft fleshy mammerys juggling around may be censored by the FCC.No, I don't mean the round card girls, I mean the heavyweights!

As much as i would like paul smith to win i cant see it in a million years. Firtsly he's a middleweight, secondly the other boxers will be tough and lastly he has not faced anyone near decent standard.

Should be exiting though.

Hey mate, I'll be watching to see Codrington get brutally KTFO by one of the lower level contestants.

Some idiots on another forum were defending Cod's china chin as "defencive issue's".

Codrington probably gets starched in the gym frequently.

A heavyweight contender would be just awesome.............

I could see an unlikely cat like Barrett winning it.....

It is going to be hard making so many big men box in so close proximity..

Lucian Bute refuse their offer... of course, he got a title shot...

Why not Jean Pascal ??????

Looks like there will be real boxing going on this time. Certainly no "Manfredo" would have had a chance against Soliman. Any contender has to surprise us to get by Sam.

Codrington probably gets starched in the gym frequently.:lol: - I personally believe Codrington has the weakest chin of all time. I still believe it was the wind pressure from Allan Greens punches that knocked him out before the gloves actually hit.

Defensive issues?:lol: - that may be that he would have survived longer than 9 secs or whatever, if his defence was any better - still it wouldnt have saved him from a knockout.

The man should be rated below glass chin.

Definitley, I agree.

Agreed again, he's a joke.

Alas he is, "grade A china" is his rating and I have him as the #1 P4P worst chin currently for 2007.

That being said, I am ABSOLUTELY loaded on Coffee and I am ready to debate anything..
