This is why boxing is going down the bog...how can a man with a 1-4 record over his last five fights get a Euro title shot?

Because its a short notice and they needed a fight...
Sprott is ranked 7th and is in training for a fight, which helps, and, to be honest, it has the potential to be exciting while it lasts.

Sprott isn't even in the top 7 HW in this country....short notice or not this fight shouldn't be for the European title, it devalues the whole thing.

I've been saying all along thet Audley is undeserving of a shot at the European title. Audley has done fuck all.
And now he's being matched with Sprott, who's equally undeserving !
This is a disgrace really.
I'm going and that'll do me. It will be a good fight I think.
Can see the arguement against it being for the European though.

I'm quite interested to see if Sprott KO's Audley again :think

Dream scenario is Audley KOs Sprott, wins Euro Title, lines up WBC Title challenge against Vitali in the summer.
I'd have barbeque and everything. Harrison/Klitschko would be the sporting event of the summer in my house*

this fight is gonna stink!
audley will not want to let his hands go the whole fight, he knows sprott has that lucky ko in him and because of this audley will not engage, expect a points decision and audley getting boo'ed a lot at the end.
big mistake this.

I think Sprott will KO him.
Isn't Sprott fight this weekend in Germany ?

Sprott won't KO him...it was a hail mary shot that did for Audley last time

Audley will simply box him for a decision.

I think Audley might actually stop him after 6 rounds.

I don't know....
Sprott is on a losing run, but has at least been facing decent opposition.
Harrison has had one proper fight in three years against Rogan, and lost - then beat three very average opponents in Prizefighter.... one of them had been put away inside a minute by Tyson Fury.
C'mon Sprotty lad!

I gotta say I have zero interest in this fight at all ..... all the young up coming heavy weights in this country and sprott is the best we can come up with !

If I remember correctly, Audley was winning handily against Sprott and floored him until he was hit with a Hail Mary shot from Sprott. Audley was coming off his career best performance and was full of confidence when he met Sprott first time around, but I still expect him to beat Sprott this time - he will just be more cautious.

Yes, indeed he was - on both counts, probably a career best win and was ahead having had Sprott down.
The main point was that Sprott is the more ''live'' of the two - not that it really matters much in this matchup on reflection.... he's mainly been losing, albeit to decent fighters, whereas Harrison has had a few lengthly layoffs truncated with his Prizefighter win.
The only outcome that would surprise me is Sprott outpointing Harrison. Either can knock the other out, Audley could outbox Sprott handily.

Same fight as Williams - Harrison 2, under prepared fighter takes the payday at short notice gets his ass handed to him by Audley papering over the massive cracks once more. HO HUM
Should have delayed it by a few weeks and got in Sexton, Chisora, or a decent European, cant believe anyone would pay to see this.

x2 but I can understand the reaction of posters on here as neither has done fuck all to warrant a shot at the title. Audley will win this and then he can say he was European HW champ

If Audley works the big shot of his jab like he did in Prizefighter he'll stop Sprott.
If not Sprott will probably win a decision.

Still amazes that the Williams vs Harrison snoozefest on ITV got over 10 mill viewers, just shows what you can do with a little publicity and name recognision.

Last time I saw Sprott he gave a good effort over the distance against Brewster: dropped, but didn't disgrace himself.
Seeing as Sosnowski had 0 pulling power, who reckons Vitali will make another quickfire defence against Big Aud' two months after Sosnowski?

Hopefully that won't be the fight when Vitali's body gives out on him..... because it's coming.

It shouldn't be for the European title but I'm very happy to see the rematch. Audley needs to avenge that loss big time. Then he can look to a comebacking Rogan and Guinn. I'll never take him serious if he can't beat that class of fighter.

Audley Harrison was doing a number on Michael Sprott last time, before he got caught with a wild shot.....
Audley is too big, too skill, too fast for Michael Sprott.
Sprotts in big trouble!!!!

that was quality in the 1st fight - the ref had a quick glance at Fraudley and thought "good fuckin night" :yep

I was big on Sprott by KO last time, as was Zakman. Won good money on it. We got laughed at before the fight.
Think I predicted Sprott by devestating KO in 5, so I actually over-estimated Fraudley and his ability to take a punch.
'I was good to go, but the ref didn't agree and waved it off'.

There must have been a decent eastern Euro fighter who could have stepped in... Sultan Ibragimov or someone... anyone

Realistically they werenever goin to really and Sprott still has to win the fight he has scheduledto take part in dont know if thats a 6 or 8 rounder and then fights Audley again 3 weeks later its a bit harsh imo obviously its set for Audley to win and i think the media are slowly creeping back behind Audley again so i think the odds on this will be crap sadly

I think Vit could beat Audley without a body to be honest.
