WOW.

Meehan must be now taken seriously. TOS is no bum, regardless of what some say. Meehan must now be ready for a big name fight, or at least, a decently big name. :good

Williamson may not be a bum, but - outside of Fraudley and Rahman - he probably has the worst chin in the division.:yep

Meehan has REALLY turned it around since the Williams fight.

He has improved nearly every facet of his game. And thanks to Don King he has been given some great opportunities.

I dont think he is faring well once he steps up, Williamson is well and truly on the path to fading. But its another step in the right direction, I said in another thread he fits the bill perfectly for a "soft" defence for one of the new champs.
I think him vs Golota was a great suggestion, a fight Meehan has a huge chance to win and a fight where Golata can get back into a position to have his 18th King sponsored title shot.

[Only registered and activated users can see links]! That's about as brutal a KO as you'll ever see. I never thought I'd see something like that from Meehan. A spectacular KO victory like that is bound to open some eyes and open some doors for him.

It seems like Meehan is really serious about quitting his garbageman job in Australia.

Good win for him. I think his career will now find new legs, to so speak.

But can do this to someone a bit better?

Isn't Meehan the same bum who was destroyed by the overrated Rahman a few years back?

Yup, Rahman beat him early, but he did fight very well against Brewster!

I remember watching the Rahman fight and being disappointed. Was expecting more of him coming off the Brewster fight.

And yes, Mesi put Williamson to sleep also, so TOS has been prone to vicious knockouts in the past. Not entirely surprising.

Not to mention that Williamson is older than dirt.

Meehan to say the least is an exciting fighter watch. Meehan could be knocked out, or he could score a big knock out.

Really, I thought he beat Brewster. So it was surprising to see him fight so poorly against Rahman. But this was a good win for Meehan to get back on track.

How about McCline vs. Meehan now?

Would be interesting.

Too bad it wasn't a KO...TOS beat the count, made it back to his corner, passed the referee's questions only to have the ringside doctor stop the fight 30 secs into the rest period....

Don't get too excited, Meehan was losing the fight up to that point and almost got stopped himself in the 3rd & 5th rounds...
